Shahid Kapoor To Play A Double Role In Anees Bazmee's Comedy Entertainer

Mumbai, February 7 - Last year, it was reported that Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor would be joining hands with director Anees Bazmee for a big-ticket comedy entertainer. The duo has been in talks since then to collaborate on one of its kind comedy and things are heading in the right direction. ## Now, according to Pinkvilla, Shahid Kapoor will be stepping into playing a double role in the movie. It will be the first time when the talented actor will be essaying a double role in his career. It is said that Shahid is super excited to play a dual role in the movie. ## The yet-untitled film is expected to start filming by June this year after Shahid wraps up his robotic romantic film for Maddock Films, co-starring Kriti Sanon. As per the early estimates, the movie scored 7.50-8 crores net on its second Tuesday. The film will continue to show similar sorts of drops in the next subsequent days which is a regular for these types of front-loaded biggies. The spy action thriller had surpassed Hollywood tentpoles, grossing a mighty $102.50 million (848 crores) in 13 days at the global box office.## "Pathaan" is currently the 5th highest-grossing film worldwide in 2023, which is one of the rare occasions for an Indian title to find a spot in the top 10. This is extraordinary growth for a mass front-loaded film that has already created historic initial records. ## The growth was always on the cards due to the superb holds on the weekdays but this sort of growth was unexpected and tells a lot about the public appreciation for Pathaan. East, West, North, and South Pathaan has superb growth all over the country across every circuit. Mumbai, February 2 - Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" is showing no sign of fatigue as it is recording blockbuster collections at the box office. The Siddharth Anand's directed flick scored a mammoth opening weekend and carried that momentum into weekdays. ## Also starring John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, "Pathaan" has completed 8 days at the box office, scoring 348.50 crores net in all languages, including 336 crores net in the Hindi language alone. It has now become (as I type this) the biggest domestic scorer in Yash Raj Films' spy universe, beating Salman Khan's "Tiger Zinda Hai". ## "Tiger Zinda Hai" (2017), directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, has earned approx. 339 crores net in Hindi. "Pathaan" has crossed that mark in just 9 days, and it will cross the 350 crores mark by the end of the day. As far as the gross collection is concerned, "TZH" is still ahead with approx. 433 crores as "Pathaan" will be around 420 crores gross in 9 days.## Siddharth Anand's "War" (2019), starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff is the third biggest-grosser movie in the spy universe with approx. 303 crores net while Salman's "Ek Tha Tiger" (2012) scored approx. 199 crores. At the worldwide box office, "Pathaan" is miles ahead rest of the aforementioned films as the collection will be close to 700 crore gross in 9 days. "TZH" is the second biggest with 558 crores gross while "War" grossed 471 crores and "ETT" minted 320 crores gross worldwide. ## "Pathaan" is very much on track to become the first film in YRF's ambitious universe to gross 1000 crores worldwide or reach close to that mark. ## Stay tuned...

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' Shifts Release Date

Mumbai, February 2 - Filmmaker Karan Johar's directorial comeback movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani won't be released in April 2023 as the makers have postponed the release by three months. ## Starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the leading roles, the romantic family drama was supposed to release on April 28, but will now be hitting theaters worldwide on July 28, 2023. It has also averted the clash with Mani Ratnam's "PS-2" which is releasing on April 28 in multiple languages. ## Dharma Productions took to Twitter to announce the new release date with the title poster. "Rocky aur Rani ke parivaar ho rahe hai taiyyaar, aur dekhiye yeh anokhi kahani of pyaar! Pathaan Second Wednesday Early Estimates; Excellent Trending

Mumbai, February 1 - Pathaan which broke every initial Bollywood record from opening day to weekend to first week has shown a superb hold on the second Wednesday of its box-office run. The early estimate collections are set to be around 19-20 crores net which is an excellent number coming after a record-smashing first-week collection. ## The second Wednesday collections will take the total box office collections to just a little under the 350cr net. The film has beaten some of the biggest blockbusters of the last decade today like PK, Tiger Zinda Hai, and Sanju to emerge as the second highest-grossing film in the Bollywood film industry. The film requires another 40cr net box office mark to beat the highest-grossing Hindi film Dangal which will be crossed by Friday. ## The extended first-week collections (Nine days) are set to be around 365Cr net or even higher. The film is the fastest box office earner of all time and now its only competition is Bahubali2 as far as lifetime business goes. The film is sure to smash the record of Bahubali2 but the second Friday will go to determine that. ## The film has emerged as a huge blockbuster at the box office and it is the 11th blockbuster in the hugely sustaining career of Shah Rukh Khan. In terms of the number of blockbusters Shah Rukh Khan is second to Salman Khan among his generation of stars. There are only 4-5 stars who have delivered more than 10 blockbusters at the box office including Shah Rukh Khan. Producer Siddharth Anand Gives Update On Tiger Shroff's 'Rambo' Remake

Mumbai, February 1 - Director Siddharth Anand, fresh from the historic blockbuster "Pathaan", has resumed the filming of "Fighter" starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. The aerial action thriller is scheduled to release on January 25, 2024, exactly one year after "Pathaan". ## Siddharth Anand is also the producer of "Fighter" with Viacom18 Studios distributing this highly-anticipated film. The filmmaker currently has no other film as far as the direction is concerned, however, he has the Hindi remake rights to the Hollywood actioner "Rambo". ## The filmmaker bought the remake rights from Millennium Films and announced the film many moons back with Tiger Shroff playing the titular role. The movie, however, couldn't take off due to the delay in pre-production and the covid-19 pandemic. ## During an interview with Deadline, the "Bang Bang" director revealed that pre-production on "Rambo" is going at a brisk pace and the shoot for the same will start at the end of this year after Tiger Shroff wraps up his current commitments. The movie will be mounted on a big budget and scale. ## Tiger is currently shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar's "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan", co-starring Akshay Kumar. It is slated for Christmas 2023 release. Mumbai, February 1 - Director Siddharth Anand is on cloud nine after delivering the biggest blockbuster of his career, "Pathaan", starring India's biggest superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The movie has become a runway blockbuster with a worldwide gross collection of close to 650 crores in just 7 days. ## "Pathaan", also starring John Abraham and Deepika Padukone is part of Yash Raj Films' ambitious spy universe, which also included Salman Khan's "Tiger" franchise and "War" starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. Siddharth Anand is the creator of "War" and "Pathaan". ## The next film in the spy universe is Salman Khan's "Tiger 3", which is slated for Diwali 2023 release. Maneesh Sharma's directorial will also have a cameo of SRK as Pathaan, much like Salman's Tiger in the latest blockbuster.
