The wait for one of the most anticipated collaborations in Indian cinema has officially reached a significant milestone. Prabhas, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and producer Bhushan Kumar have confirmed that their massive project, Spirit, is set to hit theaters worldwide on March 5, 2027.
The official release date has drawn significant attention across the film industry, as it marks the first collaboration between Prabhas and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, the film is being developed as a large-scale Pan-Asian project intended for a wide international audience. Sandeep Reddy Vanga enters this project following a historic run at the box office, having established himself as a director who commands massive openings. His previous directorial venture, Animal (2023), became a global phenomenon, raking in over ₹915 crore worldwide and cementing his reputation for creating gritty, character-driven blockbusters. Prior to that, his Hindi debut Kabir Singh (2019) shattered records with a lifetime collection of over ₹377 crore worldwide. With Spirit, Vanga is expected to push the boundaries of the action genre even further, especially with Prabhas portraying a fierce police officer—a role the actor has not explored in this specific gritty Vanga-style before.
Prabhas, on the other hand, continues to be the undisputed king of the Indian box office, coming off the massive success of his recent juggernauts. His latest outing, Kalki 2898 AD, crossed the ₹1,042 crore mark globally, while Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire earned over ₹617.75 crore. The combination of Vanga's raw directorial style and Prabhas's massive screen presence is expected to create a Spirit rampage at the ticket windows. Trade analysts suggest that given the director's track record of delivering A rated blockbusters and Prabhas's pull across the North and South markets, the film is a prime contender for the ₹1,500 crore club.

One of the most striking details revealed in the official announcement is the film's unprecedented global scale. The poster confirms that Spirit will be released in eight languages, targeting not just the Indian audience but the East Asian market as well. The film will release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, along with Mandarin, Japanese, and Korean. This strategic move to include three major international languages highlights the makers' ambition to capitalize on Prabhas's existing popularity in countries like Japan and China, effectively making it a Pan-Asian theatrical release.
The technical crew for Spirit is also being assembled with top-tier talent. Harshavardhan Rameshwar, who provided the haunting and viral background score for Animal, has been roped in to compose the music, ensuring that the film's sonic experience matches its visual intensity.Elevating the film's glamour and performance quotient, Triptii Dimri has been officially confirmed as the female lead opposite Prabhas.This marks her second consecutive collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga following her breakout success in Animal.The project is backed by a heavyweight production team including Bhushan Kumar, Pranay Reddy Vanga, Krishan Kumar, and Prabhakar Reddy Vanga, ensuring the film has the massive scale and creative freedom required for a truly global Pan-Asian release.
