Mumbai, January 16 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn has been busy with multiple hugely-awaited films, and one of them is the comedy-drama Son of Sardaar 2. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, it is the spiritual sequel to the 2012 blockbuster film Son of Sardaar. ## The film has been confirmed to hit the big screens on July 25 this year. The film will see Ajay paired opposite actress Mrunal Thakur for the first time after she replaced Sonakshi Sinha in the first movie. Sanjay Dutt also reportedly returns to SOS2. ## SOS2 will be Ajay's third release of the year after Azaad (January 17), in which he plays an extended cameo role, and Raid 2 (May 1). Mumbai, January 16 - One of the biggest films in the making, Border 2 has commenced filming on January 16 in the scenic cantonment areas of Jhansi. The film is directed by Punjabi director Anurag Singh and is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta, and co-producer Shiv Chanana. ## Bollywood star Varun Dhawan, who headlines this mega project with OG Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, joins the first schedule which is set in the highly secluded armed forces cantonment areas of Jhansi. The film aims to capture the raw emotions and heroism that have defined the franchise. ## Border 2 will be shot in the real location in and around the special armed forces to give a rustic feel to the film. On Thursday, makers took to social media to announce the shoot commencement and also re-confirmed the release date which is January 23, 2026.## It is the sequel to the epic blockbuster Border (1997), a war film based on the events of the Battle of Longewala (1971). Mumbai, January 16 - Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was shockingly attacked by an intruder at his Mumbai home in the early hours of January 16. The actor was stabbed six times and was hospitalised at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital, according to NDTV. ## Dr Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, said that Saif underwent a neurosurgery. The plastic surgery is still going on. Two of the six stab wounds are deep, and near the spine, said the statement from Lilawati Hospital. The actor is said to be out of danger, per NDTV report.## It is said that an intruder sneaked into Saif Ali Khan's house while he was sleeping. A scuffle between the actor and the intruder broke out and in this, Saif Ali Khan was reportedly attacked with a knife six times by the intruder who fled the crime scene. ## Saif Ali Khan's team has issued an official statement which reads, "There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan's residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It's a police matter. Chennai, January 15 - Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar's long-awaited action thriller Vidaamuyarchi is gearing up for the release. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the movie was announced in May 2023 by Lyca Productions and since then, it has been in intense production. ## The movie was originally announced for Diwali 2024 release, before getting postponed to December and then Pongal 2025. It was again pushed back and there were reports that it would be released during the Republic Day weekend. But there is another change in the plan. ## On Wednesday, Lyca took to social media to announce that the Vidaamuyarchi trailer would be launched on January 16, and according to reliable Tamil media reports, the film will hit the big screens on February 6 in multiple languages. The official announcement of the release date will be made with the trailer. ## The film is reportedly based on the 1997 Jonathan Mostow's directorial Breakdown. It follows a husband who is on the search for his wife, who went missing during their vacation to Azerbaijan. Mumbai, January 15 - IMDb has unveiled the list of the top 20 most anticipated Indian movies of 2025, and the blockbuster list is topped by superstar Salman Khan's action drama Sikandar. The list includes 11 Bollywood titles, 3 Tamil and Telugu titles each, 2 Kannada movies and 1 Malayalam movie. ## Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, is scheduled to hit the big screens on Eid. Mumbai, January 14 - A sequel to the musical romantic drama Gully Boy is reportedly in the works without the original cast of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, and director Zoya Akhtar. The blockbuster film will complete 6 years on February 14. ## According to the Filmfare report, Vicky Kaushal and Ananya Pandey will headline the much-awaited sequel while Arjun Varain Singh, who previously helmed Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, will direct it. If gets confirmed, it will mark Vicky and Ananya's first film together. ## "Arjun Varain Singh, who directed Kho Gaye Hum Kahan for Excel and Tiger Baby, is slated to direct the Gully Boy sequel. He's confident that Ananya, who was his heroine in Kho Gaye, will be the perfect girl to lead the project. Vicky has been attached with the sequel for a long time now", says the report. ## Released in 2019, Gully Boy is inspired by the lives of street rappers Divine and Naezy. Mumbai, January 13 - Telugu veteran Nandamuri Balakrishna's action drama Daaku Maharaaj exceeded expectations on its first to score over 30 crores gross at the domestic box office, proving to be the second biggest opener for the actor. ## On the second day, the film is seeing a good hold as early estimates suggest the collection in the range of 13-15 crores gross in Telugu states, dropping around 50% from Sunday. Overall, Daaku Maharaj is expected to score 15-17 crores gross collection on Monday. ## Daaku Maharaj's total domestic collection after 2 days is around 45+ crores gross, which is fantastic ahead of the long holiday Pongal period. The movie is likely to storm the box office over the next couple of days and will look to go past the 100 crores gross mark during this period. ## On the other hand, superstar Ram Charan's political action drama Game Changer has plummeted further on Monday as India gross is expected to be in the range of 10 crores gross, as per estimates. In Telugu states, it is likely to earn 6-7 crores gross on its 4th day. ## The Hindi version of the film, which did decently in the first weekend, witnessed a big drop on Monday to score around 1.50-1.75 crores net collection. The movie has been disappointing so far with poor trends at the box office, and to cover the lost ground, it has the next couple of days of the Pongal/Sankranthi holidays. Mumbai, January 13 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for a busy next few years during which he will be seen headlining some of the biggest films in the making. The actor is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War along with Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana, both scheduled to hit the big screens in 2026. ## Recently, it was reported that Ranbir has been locked in to lead Yash Raj Films' long-awaited Dhoom 4, which was officially announced more than a decade ago but the production never took off due to some reasons. But now, things are moving fast and production is set to begin next year. ## According to the India Today report, Dhoom 4 will start filming in April 2026. The makers are currently looking to cast 2 female leads and an antagonist. Key contenders to play the antagonist in the film are being considered from the South. ## Ranbir will wrap up both Love & War and Ramayana (both parts) before starting Dhoom 4 as it will need him to have a different look from his other movies. Interestingly, in the previous films of the franchise, the main lead of the film had the shades of an anti-hero, and going by the latest report, it looks like Ranbir's character will be entirely different. The official confirmation will reveal more truth about it which needs to be seen. ## Meanwhile, after Dhoom 4, the actor will start Animal Park, which is the sequel to the mega-blockbuster Animal with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.## Stay tuned...

It was announced a long time back and will finally kick off this year.
