Chennai, March 5 - Tamil star Dhanus's action drama Vaathi/SIR has crossed 100 crores gross at the worldwide box office, becoming only the second film of the actor to reach the mark. ## The Venky Atluri-directed Tamil-Telugu bilingual flick has taken just 17 days to reach the box office milestone. It grossed approx. 99.50 crores through the third Saturday (16 days) and is expected to collect approx. 2 crores gross on 3rd Sunday to take the movie past the 100 crores mark. ## "Vaathi" has grossed approx. 43.50 crores domestically so far while its Telugu version ("Sir") has minted approx. 34.50 crores gross for total domestic cume to 78 crores. Chennai, March 4 - Tamil star Dhanush has another major win at the box office as his latest Tamil-Telugu blockbuster Vaathi/SIR is set to enter the 100 crores club at the global box office.## Directed by Venky Atluri, the action drama film has grossed approx. 97.50 crores worldwide, including approx. 75.50 crores at the domestic box office in 15 days. It will be breaching the 100 crores mark at the end of the 3rd weekend and will become only the second film of Dhanush to achieve the feat.## "Vaathi" (Tamil version) has done very well so far, grossing approx. 42 crores domestically while its Telugu version (Sir) is equally impressive with approx. 33.50 crores. Chennai, February 20 - Tamil star Dhanush is back in the form with his latest bilingual blockbuster film Vaathi/Sir. Directed by Venkry Atluri, the action drama film has completed its opening weekend with an excellent box office collection worldwide. ## The movie was released on February 17 and got positive reviews from critics and audiences. It opened to fantastic 11.4 crores gross, before jumping on Saturday for 13.7 crores gross while Sunday witnessed another jump for 14.20 crores gross in Tamil and Telugu languages. ## The domestic opening weekend of Vaathi/Sir saw 39.30 crores in both versions, becoming Dhanush's biggest opening weekend collection film. While the Tamil version was expected to perform well, the Telugu version surprised with the excellent collection.## In Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), SIR scored 16.40 crores gross in the first three days which is bigger than most of the recent Telugu films' lifetime collections. In Tamilnadu, Vaathi grossed 17.65 crores in the opening weekend.
