Led by skipper Suzie Bates' 151 off 94 balls and Maddy Green's 121 off 77 balls, New Zealand surpassed the previous record of 455/4 against Pakistan in 1997-98.
Apart from Suzie Bates and Maddy Green's hundred, Jess Watkin (62 off 59 balls) and Amelia Kerr (81 off 45 balls) also played an important part in this record.
The target of 491, proved to climb to the mountain for Ireland as they could manage only 144 in 35.3 overs and lost the match by a huge margin of 346.
This was the only third instance in women's cricket where a team scored more than 400 runs. Two of them were scored by New Zealand and one from Australia.
