Kangana Ranaut has wrapped up the filming of his upcoming multilingual biographical film, Thalaivi on December 13. Kangana and the rest of the cast and crew were shooting in Hyderabad for the last schedule which has been now completed. It was simultaneously shot in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages under the same title.
Kangana took to Twitter and shared two pictures, one of herself and the second of late J Jayalalithaa, and wrote, "And it’s a wrap, today we successfully completed the filming of our most ambitious project Thalaivi- the revolutionary leader, rarely an actor finds a character that comes alive in flesh and blood and I fall in love so hard but now suddenly it’s time to say bye, mixed feelings".

Thalaivi is based on the life of late politician-actress, J. Jayalalithaa who served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Kangana is portraying the character of Jayalalithaa in the movie.
The movie is directed by A. L. Vijay and produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R. Singh under the banners of Vibri Media and Karma Media And Entertainment.
Apart from Kangana, Thalaivi also stars Arvind Swami, Prakash Raj, Jisshu Sengupta, Madhoo, Poorna, and Bhagyashree in the key roles.
