Dhanush Starrer Karnan To Premiere On Amazon Prime Video A Month After Theatrical Release

Chennai, May 10, 2021: Tamil superstar Dhanush's latest release, Karnan created magic at the box office. Despite the covid-19 pandemic and other restrictions, the action-drama film became one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of Dhanush with over 50 crores worldwide gross after two weeks.

However, due to the devastating second covid-19 wave, the makers have decided to bring the movie on OTT as theaters have been shut again. Directed by Mari Selvaraj, Karnan will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on May 14th, after 35 days of its theatrical release.

It is a story about Karnan, a fearless village youth, must fight for the rights of the people of his village. The movie is loosely based on the 1995 Kodiyankulam caste violence that happened in Thoothukudi district.

The movie is produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu and it also stars Lal, Yogi Babu, Azhagam Perumal, Natarajan Subramaniam, Rajisha Vijayan, Gouri G. Kishan, and Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli in key roles.
