Army Captain Vikram Batra's Biopic, 'Shershaah' Starring Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani Gets Release Date

Based on the real-life hero of the Kargil war, Param Vir Chakra awardee and army captain Vikram Batra, Shershaah starring Sidharth Malhotra, and Kiara Advani gets a new theatrical release date.

The biographical war action film directed by Vishnuvardhan will be releasing on the 4th of July 2021. It was initially scheduled to be released on 3 July 2020, but the film was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sidharth Malhotra took to Twitter and announced the release date of Shershaah. "The untold true story of Captain Vikram Batra (PVC) is all set to unravel on the big screens. #Shershaah coming to theatres near you on 2nd July 2021. See you at the movies!", he wrote.

Shershaah is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Shabbir Boxwala, Ajay Shah, and Himanshu Gandhi under the production banners of Dharma Productions, and Kaash Entertainment.

Apart from Sidharth and Kiara, the movie also stars Jaaved Jaffrey, Shiv Panditt, Himmanshoo A. Malhotra, Ankita Goraya, Pawan Chopra among others in the key roles. Sidharth Malhotra plays a double role, as Vikram Batra and his identical twin brother Vishal.
