Box Office: 'Tiger 3' Scores Third Highest First Three Days Cumulative Collection In Hindi; Tops 200 Crores Worldwide

Mumbai, November 15 - Salman Khan-led spy action thriller Tiger 3 scored the 3rd highest first three days cumulative net collection in Hindi with 144.50 crores. The film managed to top the opening day collection of 43 crores net on its third day with 43.50 crores, despite the little drop in multiplexes. ## Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan" is the biggest grosser in the first 3-day opening weekend with 180.45 crores, followed by "Pathaan" with 161 crores. "Tiger 3" didn't have a usual weekend as it was released on Sunday, but it benefitted due to the Diwali holidays. It has additionally scored 3 crores net in Tamil and Telugu for 147.50 crores total net collection in the weekend. ## Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the 5th Yash Raj Films' Spy Universe film has minted approx. 65 crores overseas collection and allied with approx. 177 crores domestic gross, "Tiger 3" has scored approx. 242 crores worldwide in the first three days. Mumbai, November 1 - Yash Raj Films has collaborated with PVR-Inox to celebrate the Spy Universe festival ahead of the release of Salman Khan-fronted "Tiger 3". ## YRF's Spy Universe is one of the most loved film franchises in India and the upcoming "Tiger 3" is the 5th film in the series so far. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the third Tiger movie follows the events of "Tiger Zinda Hai", "War", and "Pathaan" and is touted to be the biggest film in the Spy Universe yet. ## The studio has partnered with PVR-Inox to screen the previous film in the series in what is termed as YRF Spy Universe Film Festival. Vipul Shah Recalls How Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar Offered To Waive Off Fees For Waqt

Mumbai, April 21, 2021: Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and Priyanka Chopra starrer "Waqt: The Race Against Time" has turned 16. The family drama movie was released on April 20 in 2005. It was the first film for Vipul Shah as a producer and it became a memorable one for the filmmaker. ## Vipul Shah recalls how Big B and Akshay offered not to take fees for their work in Waqt in order to support him. He recalls that he discussed Waqt with the two superstars during the time when he was directing both of them in "Aankhen". ## "While we were making Aankhen, I had discussed a play that was written and directed by Aatish Kapadia, with Amit sir and Akshay. They both loved the story and we decided to make this film". ## "When I informed Amitji and Akshay about me turning producer with this film, both of them were willing to waive off their fees, but my partner (on the film) Mr. Manmohan Shetty and I did not agree with it, and paid them their remuneration. But the fact that such big superstars stood by me and were even willing to waive off their fees, was a very touching and heartwarming gesture", says the filmmaker. ## Waqt was made on a budget of INR 16 crores and it proved to be a box office success with around INR 42 crores worldwide gross collection. Apart from producing the film, Vipul Shah also donned a director's hat. It also starred Shefali Shah, Rajpal Yadav, and Boman Irani in key roles. ## Shah later went on to produce hits like "Force", "Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty", "Singh Is Kinng", "Commando" among others.
