Wrestling Legend 'The Butcher' Vachon Passes Away
The professional wrestling world mourns the passing of Paul "The Butcher" Vachon, who died on February 29th at the age of 86. The news was shared on social media by Pat Laprade, a close friend of Vachon.

Vachon was a renowned figure in the industry, achieving notable success alongside his brother, Maurice Vachon. As a team, they captured the AWA Tag Team Championship and competed in various prominent promotions like Stampede Wrestling, Mid-South Sports, and Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling. Their contributions were celebrated in 2010 with an induction into the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Beyond his in-ring accomplishments, Vachon played a crucial role in establishing Grand Prix Wrestling in Quebec, collaborating with his brother. He also had a brief stint in the WWF (now WWE). His impact transcended his wrestling career.

Vachon's life was marked by a courageous battle against cancer. He will be deeply missed by the wrestling community. On behalf of Sacnilk, we extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and fans of Paul “The Butcher” Vachon.

Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...
