WWE's Erik Successfully Undergoes C6/C7 Neck Fusion Surgery

Las Vegas, 2 November - The surgery performed on Erik was a success, and now he embarks on his path to recovery.





Taking to Twitter on November 1, Erik expressed his profound gratitude to the medical team and WWE for consistently ensuring that he receives the best possible care. Erik revealed that he underwent neck fusion surgery, specifically at the C6/C7 level.





Erik is presently under contract with WWE, where he is a part of the Raw brand. His last match took place on the September 14 episode of WWE Main Event, which aired on September 11, 2023. Despite being initially scheduled to compete on the September 18 episode of WWE Raw, he was ultimately withdrawn from the event.





Since that time, Erik has not competed in any matches. On the October 2 episode of WWE Raw, Wade Barrett mentioned that Erik would be on an indefinite hiatus from in-ring action.





Erik's journey towards recovery has officially commenced, which implies that he will be taking a break from appearing on WWE television and will not be participating in any in-ring performances.
