WWE To Open Up More Ringside Advertising Inventory, Vince McMahon Agrees
New York, 10 November - WWE has been slowly opening up more advertising inventory in and around the ring over the past few years, and this is expected to continue in the future. This is due to the influence of Nick Khan, WWE's Chief Revenue Officer, who is focused on increasing the company's revenue.
In the past, Vince McMahon was opposed to ringside advertising, but he has since changed his mind. This is likely due to the fact that WWE has seen how successful other sports leagues have been with ringside advertising.
It is expected that WWE will continue to sell more ringside advertising space in the future, as this is a new and lucrative revenue stream for the company. WWE has been under pressure to increase its revenue in recent years, and the company is looking at all possible ways to do so.
Ringside advertising is one way that WWE can generate additional revenue without having to rely on its traditional revenue streams, such as ticket sales and television rights fees.

Another change we can expect [in WWE] is the look of the ringside area. In the past, Vince McMahon was a proponent of a clean ring, meaning no advertising on the mats, the barricades or around the ring.
Obviously that has changed due to the influence of Nick Khan.
It’s noted that Vince is no longer thinking that way & that advertising in & around the ring will be opening up more advertising inventory & they are very happy McMahon agreed to it.’
