Here is the full Match Card for this week's Friday Night edition which is scheduled to air on April 22, 2022, live from MVP Arena in Albany, New York.

Friday Night SmackDown currently airs live every Friday on Fox from 8:00 ET–10:00 PM ET in the United States. WWE SmackDown starts live at 1 am in the UK on BT Sport 1 on Saturday mornings.

WWE SmackDown Time In Canada: It airs live every Friday at 8 Am on Sportsnet 360

WWE SmackDown Time In South Africa: The show also airs live on Supersport in South Africa on Saturday at 02:00 am CAT



SmackDown Time In Italy: In Italy, SmackDown airs on DMAX at 2:00 pm with the international version of one-hour shows airing on Cielo in Italian

WWE SmackDown Time In India: SmackDown airs live on Sony Ten 1 HD and Sony Ten 1 in India at 5:30 am

--Lumberjack Match: Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn

Following a humiliating defeat to Johnny Knoxville in an Anything Goes Match at WrestleMania, Sami Zayn looked to revamp his image and regain some credibility by challenging Drew McIntyre.

However, when it looked as if The SmackDown Warrior was going to emerge victorious with the Claymore Kick, The Master Strategist made a quick exit from the ring and through the crowd to give McIntyre the win by count-out.

On the April 15th edition of SmackDown, McIntyre got his chance to finish, but this time too, Drew won the match via count-out. After running away from Drew McIntyre for the second straight week, Sami Zayn will have nowhere to hide when he faces The Scottish Warrior in a Lumberjack Match next Friday.

Winner Prediction: Drew McIntyre

Singles Match: Madcap Moss vs. Angel

Additionally, Angel will face Madcap Moss in singles competition. Moss defeated Humberto on April 15, causing Angel to berate his cousin in the ring for the loss.

Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair contract signing

Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey are set to sign the contract for their “I Quit” Match at WrestleMania Backlash 2022.

Despite WWE Management making the “I Quit” Match at WrestleMania Backlash official against Charlotte Flair’s wishes, The SmackDown Women’s Champion will still sit down across from Ronda Rousey and sign on the dotted line for their upcoming title match.

Singles Match: Riddle vs. Jey Uso

As their Winner Take All-Championship Unification Match for WrestleMania Backlash rapidly approaches, Riddle looks to put RK-Bro on his back and go for two-for-two against SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos in single competition.

Singles Match: Butch Vs. Kofi Kingston

Pete Dunne recently made his debut on the main roster as Butch. He has teamed up with Sheamus and Ridge Holland as part of the stable Fight Night. The former NXT UK Champion has undergone a character change from his days in NXT and now plays the role of a man who is unhinged and loves to fight.

On the latest episode of SmackDown, the former Pete Dunne was found missing during a backstage interview segment and was later found attacking Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston.

We are likely to find out Roman Reigns' next challenger

As noted, the RAW and Smackdown tag team titles are set to merge at the Wrestlemania Backlash PLE when RK-Bro go up against The Usos. Despite the titles merging, the belief is that WWE isn’t going to be ending the brand split in the near future. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio.

Dave noted that Roman Reigns is scheduled to headline WrestleMania Backlash even though they don’t seem to have started a program for him.
