WWE Censors Trash Can Shots In Brutal Cody Rhodes Beatdown On YouTube

The closing segment of last night's Raw saw The Rock deliver a vicious beatdown on Cody Rhodes, leaving him bloodied and battered in the Chicago rain.

While the brawl included intense violence and blood, it was surprisingly the trash can shots that got censored on YouTube.



WWE's official channel uploaded the segment, but muted out The Rock's swearing and froze the frame whenever a trash can connected with Rhodes. This is despite the overall brutality of the scene, which included blood on both wrestlers and a bloody "Mama Rhodes" weight belt.

The censorship has some fans scratching their heads. With WrestleMania just around the corner, the segment was designed to raise the stakes for their upcoming match. And while the use of blood is uncommon in WWE today, the trash can shots seem like a much tamer element.

Despite the censorship, the video has already racked up nearly 250,000 views in just a few hours. It was a hot way to end a strong episode of Raw, successfully building anticipation for WrestleMania XL.
