Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu's 'Kushi' Worldwide Pre-Release Business Details Revealed

Hyderabad, August 19 - Telugu heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu coming together for the romantic drama film "Kushi". Directed by "Majili" fame Shiva Nirvana, the movie is scheduled to release on September 1st in multiple languages, including Hindi.

"Kushi" is one of the most-awaited Telugu movies which is carrying good buzz among the fans as well as the trade. According to T2BLive.Com, the movie has done a pre-release theatrical business of 52.50 crores which is one of the highest for a mid-range Telugu movie.

The total Andhra Pradesh and Telangana theatrical rights have been sold at approximately 41 crores, including 15 crores for Nizam and 6 crore for Ceeded area. The ROI rights are said to be around 4.50 crores while overseas business is 7 crores. The movie will need to score around 53 crores worldwide share to break-even and emerge as a clean hit.

Interestingly, the theatrical rights of Vijay Deverakonda's last movie "Liger" were sold at a whopping approx. 89 crores worldwide, but the movie turned out to be a huge disaster at the box office. "Liger" has clearly affected the business of "Kushi", however, it is still good enough for a tier-2 hero.

The movie is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and it revolves around Viplav (VD), an employee of the state-run telecom company BSNL, while Aradhya (Samantha) is a corporate professional working in iLabs Centre. The movie also stars Sachin Khedekar, Saranya Ponvannan, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Jayaram, among others in key roles.

Maa Inti Bangaaram OTT Release Date: Samantha's #1 Solo Female-Led 100 Crore Blockbuster to Stream on JioHotstar

BY SACNILK

JioHotstar Telugu has officially confirmed that the record-breaking blockbuster, Maa Inti Bangaaram, is ready for its digital premiere. Captioned with the film's punchy dialogue Okokkodni kodathamu chudu... Prematho abbaaa, the streaming giant announced that Samantha Ruth Prabhu's action-comedy will be available to viewers starting July 17th. Following a sensationally successful theatrical run where it redefined the box office potential for female-centric cinema, this unique blend of traditional family drama and gritty assassin action is now set to take the digital space by storm. Where and when to stream Maa Inti Bangaaram on OTT? After maintaining a strong hold at the ticket windows for nearly a month, the makers have locked the digital premiere date. Maa Inti Bangaaram is scheduled to stream on JioHotstar starting July 17, 2026. The digital premiere comes less than four weeks after the film's successful theatrical release on June 19, 2026. Given the massive popularity of the film, the digital rights were a hot commodity, and the premiere on July 17 will allow a wider audience to witness Swarna's double life from their living rooms. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) What is the story of Maa Inti Bangaaram? The film follows Swarna (Samantha Ruth Prabhu), an orphan who elopes with Dr. Anirudh (Diganth Manchale) and eventually returns to his traditional, patriarchal village household for a family wedding. Desperate for acceptance, she plays the role of the ideal, docile daughter-in-law. However, her domestic performance is a facade; she is actually Jhansi, a deadly former assassin and ex-Naxalite rebel. The peace is shattered when her obsessive former gang leader, Karuna (Gulshan Devaiah), tracks her down, forcing Swarna to unleash her violent past to defend the very in-laws who doubt her. It is a thrilling tale of survival and hidden identities. On the commercial front, Maa Inti Bangaaram has been nothing short of a juggernaut. Made on an estimated production budget of ₹20 crore to ₹30 crore, the film has yielded massive returns for everyone involved. As of its 24-day run, the movie has achieved worldwide gross collections of ₹98.28 Crore and is on the verge of entering the elite ₹100 Crore gross club. This performance has officially made it the #1 highest-grossing solo female-led Telugu movie worldwide, surpassing iconic hits like Rudhrama Devi and Mahanati. Maa Inti Bangaaram: ₹98.28 Cr (Still Running) Rudhrama Devi: ₹86.92 Cr Mahanati: ₹83 Cr Arundhati: ₹68.50 Cr Bhaagamathie: ₹67.2 Cr (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The film's journey at the box office has been defined by a very steady and reliable performance across its multi-week run. It started with a strong impact in the first week, collecting ₹33.70 Crore net. The momentum continued into the second week with a solid hold, bringing in another ₹20.25 Crore. Even in its third week, despite the arrival of newer titles, it added ₹5.75 Crore to its tally. This consistent footfall across a massive 44,533 shows allowed the movie to build a significant total without any major crashes in its daily collection graph. When you look at the regional breakdown of the India gross, the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana expectedly led the way with a massive contribution of ₹52.92 Crore. However, the film also found a lot of takers in other regions, especially in Karnataka where it grossed a significant ₹11.14 Crore. The Tamil Nadu market contributed ₹5.33 Crore, while the rest of India and Kerala added ₹1.11 Crore and ₹0.23 Crore respectively, taking the total India gross to ₹70.73 Crore. This regional diversity in collections proves that the subject matter resonated well beyond its primary home market. The international performance was another major victory for the makers. Overseas markets contributed a gross of ₹27.55 Crore, which accounts for a substantial 28.03 percent share of the total worldwide business. This strong international presence, combined with a healthy domestic net of ₹61.10 Crore, has pushed the worldwide gross collection to ₹98.28 Crore as of its 24th day. With the movie still playing in several centers, it has truly lived up to its title by delivering gold for its investors and creators alike. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The film's digital footprint through ticket booking platforms further underscores its immense popularity. On BookMyShow alone, Maa Inti Bangaaram has recorded a fantastic total of over 15.79 lakh tickets sold to date. This journey began with a strong 80,000 tickets in pre-sales, followed by a massive 9.18 lakh in its opening week. The momentum stayed healthy with 4.28 lakh tickets in the second week and 1.22 lakh in the third. Even as it entered its fourth weekend, the film continued to draw crowds, selling approximately 7,750 tickets on Friday, 12,780 on Saturday, and 10,930 on Sunday. Beyond the digital bookings, the performance in premium national chains has also been impressive, with cumulative sales of over 2.45 lakh tickets across these major multiplex circuits. Telugu and Tamil Cinema Set To Collide Over Two Epic Films Based On Hindu God Lord Murugan

BY SACNILK

Hyderabad, July 11 - Telugu and Tamil cinema are gearing up for an exciting showdown, with two ambitious films based on Lord Murugan currently in development. While Indian cinema has produced several epics over the years, it is rare for two major industries to simultaneously back large-scale films inspired by the same Hindu deity. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) On the Telugu front, filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas is developing a magnum opus on Lord Murugan with Jr NTR in the lead. The project has generated significant buzz since its announcement, with the makers reportedly planning a grand visual spectacle that combines history, emotion, and cutting-edge visual effects. The film is expected to begin production after Jr NTR wraps up his ongoing commitments. Tamil cinema, meanwhile, has announced Thamizh Murugan, starring Dhanush in the lead role. The ambitious project will be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Vetrimaaran and is expected to present a distinct cinematic interpretation of Lord Murugan. The announcement has already created considerable excitement, given the combination of Dhanush and Vetrimaaran, who have previously delivered acclaimed films together. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) With both projects still in the early stages and release dates yet to be announced, the parallel development of these two films has become a major talking point among fans. If the films arrive within a similar timeframe, audiences could witness an intriguing comparison between Telugu and Tamil cinema's unique storytelling styles and their respective visions of one of Hinduism's most revered deities. About Lord Murugan Lord Murugan, also known as Kartikeya, Skanda, Subrahmanya, Shanmukha, and Kumara, is one of the most revered deities in Hinduism. He is especially worshipped in South India, particularly in Tamil Nadu, as the God of War, Courage, Victory, and Wisdom. Lord Murugan is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati and the younger brother of Lord Ganesha. He is believed to have been born to defeat the powerful demon Tarakasura, who could only be slain by Shiva's son.

India Box Office First Half 2026: How the H1 of 2026 Performed Across Industries

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, July 9 - The first six months of 2026 have painted an interesting picture for the Indian film industry. While a handful of blockbuster releases dominated the box office and broke multiple records, some high-profile films struggled to justify their massive budgets. Overall, the period from January 1 to June 30 witnessed a healthy theatrical market led by Hindi cinema, while Malayalam films continued to punch above their weight with remarkable overseas performances. The biggest story of the year was undoubtedly the phenomenal success of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, which emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film of the year by a massive margin. The Ranveer Singh-led action spectacle crossed 1800 crore worldwide, making it one of the biggest Indian successes in history. It was followed by Border 2, while Telugu cinema contributed one major success in the form of Mana ShankaraVaraprasad Garu. Tamil cinema's biggest performer was Karuppu, which comfortably crossed the 300 crore mark worldwide. Telugu cinema delivered mixed results, with the only major success being Mana Shankara. The box office collections alone did not always translate into commercial success, as some expensive productions failed to recover their investments despite respectable worldwide numbers. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Malayalam cinema once again proved why it continues to be one of India's most consistent film industries. Films like Vaazha 2 and Drishyam 3 not only performed exceptionally well in Kerala but also generated huge revenues overseas. The industry continued to benefit from its strong presence in international markets, especially across the Gulf region, allowing several medium-budget films to achieve impressive worldwide totals. Tamil cinema also experienced a mixed first half. While Karuppu emerged as a blockbuster and became one of the biggest Tamil hits of the year, mid-budget films such as Thaai Kizhavi and Blast also delivered solid numbers, indicating that audiences were willing to support well-made commercial entertainers beyond star-driven spectacles. However, their worldwide collections were naturally driven by international markets rather than India, making domestic box office comparisons with Indian films less meaningful. Kannada cinema endured a relatively quiet first half compared to other industries. No Sandalwood release managed to create a nationwide impact, and the industry's highest-grossing films remained significantly behind their counterparts from Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi cinema. The second half of the year will be crucial for Kannada cinema to regain momentum. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Surprise Indian Successes S. Films like Thaai Kizhavi, Blast, and Aadu 3 exceeded trade expectations despite not carrying the scale or hype of pan-India spectacles. Their performances reinforced the fact that audiences continue to reward strong storytelling and positive word of mouth. At the same time, a few expensive productions struggled to meet expectations. Despite collecting well worldwide, some big-budget releases were unable to secure profitable theatrical runs due to their enormous production costs. This once again highlighted that worldwide collections alone are no longer sufficient to determine a film's commercial success. Films across industries have grossed around 6500 crores at the Indian box office in the first 6 months, which is better than the first halves of the previous post-pandemic years. Bollywood produced the year's biggest blockbuster, Telugu cinema delivered mixed results, Malayalam cinema continued its remarkable consistency, and Tamil cinema found success through both star vehicles and mid-budget entertainers. As the industry heads into the second half of the year with several highly anticipated releases on the horizon, the box office appears well-positioned to build on an encouraging start to 2026.

Maa Inti Bangaaram Day 20: Film Grosses Rs. 0.46 Cr; Just 72 Lakh Shy of Surpassing Nani's Career Best Karnataka Run With HIT 3

BY SACNILK

Samantha Ruth Prabhu made a highly anticipated return to the big screen with the action-drama Maa Inti Bangaaram, marking her first release after a three-year hiatus following Kushi. While the film was produced on a controlled budget estimated between 20 crore and 30 crore, it managed to recover its entire investment through pre-release business alone. This high demand allowed the movie to enter a pure profit zone from its very first day. Currently, its global performance is nearly three to four times its initial production cost, making it a significant commercial success. Looking at the Day 20 performance, which fell on its third Wednesday, the film earned an India gross of 0.46 crore. This shows a slight uptick from the previous day gross of 0.45 crore. In terms of net earnings, the movie collected 0.40 crore on Wednesday, representing a 2.6 percent growth compared to Tuesday. This steady momentum across 1,016 shows is noteworthy for a film entering its fourth week in theaters. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The cumulative totals for Maa Inti Bangaaram highlight its strong theatrical run. The total India gross now stands at 68.64 crore, while the total India net collection has reached 59.29 crore. On the international front, the film has grossed 26.60 crore overseas. According to data tracked by Venky Box Office, the movie earned 15,000 dollars (approx. 12.5 lakh) in North America on Tuesday, taking its total in that region to a significant 2.04 million dollars (approx. 17.10 crore). When we combine these figures, the total worldwide gross collection currently stands at approximately 95.24 crore. This milestone has been achieved across a total of 42,106 shows since its release. A regional breakdown of the collections shows that the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (APTG) market remains the strongest contributor, with a cumulative gross of 51.24 crore. On Day 20 specifically, this region added 0.37 crore to the gross. Karnataka has also been a major territory, contributing a total gross of 10.77 crore so far. Interestingly, the film is now just 72 lakh behind the Karnataka box office collection of HIT: The Third Case. With this performance, Samantha has surpassed the career-best Karnataka collections of stars like Nani, Balakrishna, and Naga Chaitanya. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) In other states, Tamil Nadu has contributed a total gross of 5.31 crore, while Kerala and the rest of India have added 0.23 crore and 1.09 crore respectively. For the Telugu version on Day 20, the overall occupancy was 11.12 percent. Hyderabad led the major regions with 13.5 percent occupancy across 208 shows, followed by Vizag at 12.5 percent and Bengaluru at 12.3 percent. These consistent occupancy rates across the third week suggest that the film is still finding an audience in urban centers. The audience engagement is also visible on digital platforms. On BookMyShow, the film saw 6,310 tickets booked on Wednesday, following 8,240 tickets on Tuesday. This brings the total number of tickets sold on the platform to approximately 15.41 lakh. This level of sustained interest on a booking platform is a good indicator of the film’s long-tail potential in theaters. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Looking at the national cinema chains for Wednesday, PVR recorded approximately 470 tickets sold for a gross of 1 lakh. INOX and Cinepolis followed with roughly 230 and 390 tickets respectively, contributing a combined gross of about 1.30 lakh. In total, these major chains accounted for approximately 1,090 tickets and a combined gross of 2.35 lakh for the day. While these are smaller numbers compared to the opening week, they reflect the typical tapering off seen in a movie’s third week of release. With its worldwide gross now approaching the 100 crore mark, Maa Inti Bangaaram has solidified its position as a profitable venture for its producers and distributors. For Samantha, this successful comeback confirms her drawing power at the box office, particularly in the southern markets.

Mumbai, July 8 - The first half of 2026 has delivered a few blockbuster successes across the Indian film industry, with Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil cinema all contributing major hits at the global box office. While a handful of films crossed significant milestones worldwide, one title stood far above the rest in the form of Dhurandhar: The Revenge The Ranveer Singh-fronted spy actioner emerged as the undisputed box office champion, becoming the biggest Indian blockbuster of the year so far and one of the biggest of all-time with a phenomenal worldwide gross of over 1800 crore. Peddi OTT Release Date: Superstar Ram Charan's 340 Crore Grosser Sets Netflix Debut

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, July 4 - Superstar Ram Charan's sports action drama Peddi is finally heading to OTT after almost completing its theatrical run. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film released with solid expectations and went on to post an average performance at the global box office with around 340 crore gross worldwide. The film will start streaming on Netflix from July 9 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. The Hindi version, however, will arrive later after completing the compulsory eight-week theatrical run in cinemas (if a film is released in national chains). (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Peddi received mixed reactions from audiences and critics upon release, though Ram Charan's performance was widely appreciated. The film's action episodes, emotional moments, and sports backdrop helped it maintain a steady theatrical run, especially in Telugu states. However, despite the 100+ crores worldwide opening day, Peddi failed to achieve its massive theatrical target and eventually ended up as a below-average to average performer at the box office. The movie, though, managed to become Ram Charan's highest solo grosser, and his second highest after multistarrer RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli. Janhvi Kapoor played the female lead in the film, alongside Shivarajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu Sharma in key roles. With the OTT release date now locked, fans who missed Peddi in theatres will soon be able to watch the film from the comfort of their homes. The Netflix premiere is expected to bring the film to a wider digital audience across multiple languages.

Peddi Final Box Office Collection: Hits 340 Crore Worldwide; 8th Telugu Film to Cross 200 Crore in APTG as Regional Hit but Pan-India Underperformer

BY SACNILK

After a month-long theatrical run, the final box office numbers for the Ram Charan starrer Peddi have settled. As one of the most anticipated sports epics of 2026, the film arrived with immense expectations and a heavy production price tag of 350 crore rupees. While the movie has registered significant milestones in its home territory and certain international markets, the overall pan-India performance tells a more complex story of regional success versus a broader commercial underperformance. The journey began with a thunderous opening day, where the film registered a massive domestic gross of roughly 82.50 crore rupees. This performance secured its place as the second-highest opening for Ram Charan, trailing only the record-breaking RRR. This initial momentum was primarily driven by the Telugu states, where the film saw packed houses across more than 118,000 tracked shows during its entire run. By the end of its first extended week, the movie had already amassed a net collection of approximately 193.55 crore rupees in India. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Peddi - Regional Gross Collection Breakdown (India)PERIODAPTGKARNATAKAREST OF INDIATOTAL GROSSWeek 1 Total₹ 175.80 Cr₹ 24.38 Cr₹ 29.77 Cr₹ 229.95 CrWeek 2 Total₹ 29.40 Cr₹ 4.60 Cr₹ 6.10 Cr₹ 40.10 CrWeek 3 Total₹ 9.30 Cr₹ 0.72 Cr₹ 0.73 Cr₹ 10.75 CrWeek 4 Total₹ 4.50 Cr₹ 0.11 Cr₹ 0.06 Cr₹ 4.67 CrCumulative Total₹ 219.00 Cr₹ 29.81 Cr₹ 36.66 Cr₹ 285.47 Cr In the regional circuit of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Peddi has achieved a historic feat. By grossing 219 crore rupees in these states alone, it has become the 8th Telugu film to ever cross the 200 crore mark in the local market. This puts it in an elite list alongside blockbusters like Baahubali 2, RRR, and Pushpa 2. For the local regional distributors, the film is considered a clean hit. Since the regional theatrical rights were sold at a reachable target, the massive opening day and dominance in the Telugu heartland allowed for a theatrical recovery rate of nearly 96 percent by the end of its 28-day run.The following list highlights the top-grossing Telugu films in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana that have crossed the 200 crore milestone: RRR: ₹406.82 Cr Pushpa 2: The Rule: ₹330.48 Cr Baahubali 2: The Conclusion: ₹304.00 Cr Kalki 2898 AD: ₹277.70 Cr Devara: Part 1: ₹225.80 Cr Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu: ₹225.02 Cr Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire: ₹221.62 Cr Peddi: ₹219.00 Cr (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Beyond the gross figures, Peddi also carved out a spot in the history books for its net collections. The film managed to cross the 200 crore net milestone in the Telugu market within just 14 days of its release. This achievement makes it the 6th fastest Tollywood film to reach this mark, trailing only behind industry giants like RRR, Pushpa 2, Baahubali 2, Kalki 2898 AD, and Salaar. Notably, it outpaced other major hits like Devara - Part 1, which took 16 days to reach the same figure. This rapid pace of collection in the home states further reinforces the film's massive drawing power among the local audience, even as it faced a steeper climb in other markets. The film also found significant success in North America, where it surpassed 3.4 million dollars in just 13 days. This achievement made it the highest-grossing Telugu film of 2026 in that specific international market, surpassing the previous record held by Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. While this was historically successful for a solo Ram Charan sports film, the financial bar was set incredibly high. Against an extraordinarily high valuation and a 6.5 million dollar breakeven target, the film ultimately left overseas distributors with a steep loss despite its record-breaking numbers. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) When examining the digital footprint, the volume of audience engagement remains noteworthy. The film recorded a final tally of 3.92 million tickets sold on BookMyShow, with a significant 875,000 of those coming from pre-sales alone. In the national theater chains—comprising PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis—the movie sold approximately 4 lakh tickets throughout its first month. The week-by-week breakdown of ticket sales on BookMyShow highlights the film's massive start and gradual tapering: Pre-Sales: 875,000 1st Extended Week: 2,310,000 2nd Week: 554,000 3rd Week: 140,000 4th Weekend (Fri-Sun): 40,000 Total Final Sales: 3,920,000 However, when we shift the lens to the pan-India and global perspective, the results are less celebratory. Despite a worldwide gross that has reached approximately 340 crore rupees—comprising a domestic gross of 285 crore and an overseas gross of 53 crore—the film remains an underperformer relative to its 350 crore budget. The primary reason for this was the early collapse of the Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam dubbed markets. The sports epic failed to find the same resonance in non-Telugu states, leaving a massive gap between the total collections and the break-even point for the production house. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The biggest issue for Peddi internationally was how quickly its theater traffic faded after launch. As tracked day-by-day globally, it made more than half of its total international money on its first day. The film opened with a massive 28.00 crore on its first Thursday, but then saw a sharp decline. It collected 6.00 crore on Friday, followed by 8.00 crore on Saturday and 4.00 crore on Sunday. The entire remaining lifetime run through weeks two to four contributed only around 6.90 crore. This trend indicates that while the opening was historic, the film lacked the legs to sustain interest in overseas markets beyond the initial fan-driven rush. In summary, Peddi is a tale of two different box office outcomes. Locally, it is a landmark success for Ram Charan and his regional distributors, cementing his drawing power in the Telugu states. Globally and across India, the film serves as a reminder of the risks involved in high-budget pan-Indian filmmaking. While it will continue to run in a limited capacity for a few more days, the final verdict stands as a hit for regional markets but a losing venture on a macroeconomic scale due to its immense production costs.

Chiranjeevi vs Rajinikanth Clash Repeats After 3 Years With Vishwambhara And Jailer 2 This Dasara

BY SACNILK

The 2026 Dasara festive window is set to witness a major box office competition as two high-profile films have confirmed their release dates. Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 is scheduled for October 15, while Chiranjeevi's Vishwambhara is locked for October 16. This brings the two veteran stars into a direct head-to-head release schedule once again, following their previous box office encounter in 2023. With both films carrying high production values and significant expectations, the trade is now focused on how screen allocation and audience footfalls will be divided over the holiday weekend. Jailer 2, produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, is officially scheduled to hit screens on Thursday, October 15, 2026. An official release date announcement is expected from the production house this evening, confirming the return of Superstar Rajinikanth as the iconic retired lawman Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. Following the massive global success of the first installment in 2023, director Nelson Dilipkumar is returning to helm this action-comedy sequel. The anticipation for this project is exceptionally high, especially considering how well the character resonated with audiences across domestic and international markets during the first chapter. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Just a day later, on October 16, Chiranjeevi's socio-fantasy epic Vishwambhara will make its grand theatrical debut. Directed by Mallidi Vassishta, this film is being produced on a record-breaking budget of 400 crore. The narrative is rooted in Hindu cosmology and follows a hero's journey across celestial realms, starting from Satya Lokam, to save the protagonist played by Trisha Krishnan. UV Creations has taken a very meticulous approach with this project, even choosing to delay the release to allocate an additional 70 to 75 crore specifically for a massive international VFX overhaul. This decision came after mixed feedback on the initial teaser, showing the production house’s commitment to delivering a world-class visual experience. The timing of these releases is strategically aimed at the Dasara holidays, which historically provide a significant boost to box office collections. However, this head-to-head encounter brings back memories of August 2023, when Chiranjeevi's Bhola Shankar clashed with Rajinikanth's Jailer. That particular weekend saw a massive divide in footfalls, and the trade is curious to see how the screens will be allocated this time around, especially since both films carry immense brand value and high production costs. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Vishwambhara also features Kunal Kapoor in a pivotal role and boasts a technical team led by Oscar-winner M.M. Keeravani for music and Chota K. Naidu for cinematography. With two such heavyweights arriving within 24 hours of each other, the pressure on the distribution networks will be immense. While Jailer 2 will look to capitalize on the momentum of a successful franchise, Vishwambhara is betting big on its socio-fantasy scale and visual spectacle.
