Mumbai, March 1 - The auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri brings joy to the Indian film industry as currently in theaters movies grow further to strengthen their position at the box office. ## Among the films released during the last weekend of February, Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan's "Bheemla Nayak" is doing wonders at the domestic as well as overseas box office. After scoring Rs. 85.45 crores in the first 4-days, the Saagar Chandra-directed witnessed growth on Tuesday due to the partial holiday. ## As per the early estimates, the action drama film sees a jump of 16% for Rs. 9.60 crores net on Tuesday. This pushes the total domestic net collection to an estimated Rs. 95.05 crores. The movie also crosses Rs. 100 crores gross at the Indian box office. ## Overseas, "Bheemla Nayak" is super strong, grossing approx. Rs. 25 crores so far. At the USA box office, the Pawan Kalyan-fronted movie has already crossed a magical milestone of $2 million. The total worldwide collection of the film currently stands at approx. Rs. 135 crores after 5 days. ## Meanwhile, Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar's "Valimai" couldn't get the benefit of the holiday as it continues to take a further dip at the domestic box office. On Tuesday, the action thriller drops 20% for Rs. 3.80 crores net total for all languages. It dropped big on Monday for Rs. 4.75 crores. ## The Tuesday estimated, however, takes "Valimai" past Rs. 100 crores gross in India with approx. Rs. 102 crores. Mumbai, February 27 - The Indian box office is back this week with all the major industries from Hindi to Tamil to Telugu getting a big turnout. This has been a rarity since the pandemic that every industry of India is getting a good audience in theatres.## The first huge release was the Tamil film Valimai fronted by Ajith Kumar who enjoys a very loyal fan following in Tamil Nadu state. The film opened to unprecedented response on the first day and created an all-time opening day record and the film is holding pretty well even on day 3.## Next is the Telugu film Bheemla Nayak driven by Pawan Kalyan who is possibly the biggest star since Rajnikanth and Chiranjeevi in the southern states. Bheemla Nayak opened to an earth-shattering response and created a record in Nizam. Chennai, February 26 - Tamil action thriller, "Valimai", starring Ajith Kumar has opened with a bang at the box office, breaking several past records. ## Released on Feb. 24, the H Vinoth-directed has set a new record in Tamil Nadu, netting Rs. 25.30 crores on the first day. Producer Boney Kapoor has said in a recent interview that the film has come out as the best day one opening in TN on a non-holiday.## While "Valimai" mostly received a positive response from critics and audiences alike, the makers have taken note of the film's critical part, which is its prolonged run-time, especially in the second half. According to reports, Ajith Kumar, producer Boney Kapoor, and director Vinoth have taken the feedback seriously and have decided to trim the film by 14 minutes in order to make it racier. ## It is said that the Hindi version of the film gets trimmed by 15 minutes while the other version faces a 14-minutes trimming, including 2 minutes from the first half and 12 minutes from the second half. The reports state that makers have also decided to remove the first song, Naanga Vera Maari from the Hindi version. The original version was 179 minutes long which has now been reduced to 165 minutes (2 hours 45 minutes). ## "Valimai" has been praised for its high octane action sequence which, many believe, are on par with Hollywood films. The big-screen magic will be shining bright again after the moments of ups and downs in the last two years of the covid-19 pandemic. ## The last weekend of February 2022 will see three of the most-awaited Indian movies hitting theaters in the form of Ajith Kumar's "Valimai" on Feb. 24, Pawan Kalyan's "Bheemla Nayak" on Feb. 25, and Alia Bhatt-fronted "Gangubai Kathiawadi" on Feb. 25. Interestingly, all three movies will have multilingual releases, thus making things tough for one another at the box office. ## Though there are a couple of other movies too to release during the same weekend such as the Telugu movie "Aadaalloo Meeku Johaarlu", starring Sharwanand and Rashmika Mandanna, the real battle to emerge box office king, however, will be among the three aforementioned films, especially between "Valimai", and "Bheemla Nayak". ## As far as the box office numbers are concerned, Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati-starrer Telugu movie "Bheemla Nayak", might outshine the other releases. Ajith is one of the biggest stars in Tamil Nadu and his movies often gained a lot of attention. "Valimai" might become Ajith Kumar's biggest grosser of all time. His "Viswasam" is currently the biggest film with a worldwide collection of approx. 200 crores. ## "Valimai", directed by H Vinoth, will also be released in Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada dubbed versions. It might make noise at the Hindi box office where it has to compete with Alia Bhatt-fronted "Gangubai Kathiawadi". In the Hindi circuit, "Valimai" is expected to release on over 1000 screens.
