Update On Scarlett's Nixed WWE Match

An update has emerged on Scarlett's Nixed WWE match.

Fightful Select recently reported that, a very random dark match was scheduled for after Smackdown. The internal listing featured Scarlett, Karrion Kross and Damian Priest taking on Matt Riddle, Braun Strowman and Liv Morgan.

However, that didn't end up happening, as instead Legado Del Fantasma (including Zelina) instead teamed with Priest to face Madcap Moss, Riddle, Strowman and Morgan.

Despite it being listed internally, Fightful reports that creative plans were set for Kross and Scarlett well before Friday, and Scarlett was never informed of a planned match. The believe is that it up to either an internal error, or a nixed pitch that was done well before Friday.

Her being in a match would have been a surprise to her. Scarlett hasn't wrestled on television, dark matches or live events since she's been brought back to WWE, with an MLW booking this past summer as her most recent match.

However, last year, she worked a dark match when WWE returned to live touring, after having never worked a main roster or NXT match outside of a squash match years prior. She'd worked nine matches between February and June 2022 before being re-signed.
