Dustin Poirier earned another "Fight of the Night" bonus at UFC 299, tying him with Edson Barboza for the most in UFC history.
Poirier survived a tough first round against Benoit Saint Denis before securing a knockout in the second, thrilling the crowd and earning an additional $50,000. This brings his total number of "FOTN" bonuses to 9.
The announcement of the post-fight bonuses came from UFC CEO Dana White at the press conference for UFC 299. White also revealed that every finisher at the event received a $50,000 "Performance of the Night" bonus, with the exception of Poirier due to his separate "FOTN" award.
Several other fighters received "Performance of the Night" bonuses for their performances at UFC 299:
-Sean O'Malley for his dominant decision win over Chito Vera in their rematch.
-Jack Della Maddalena for his come-from-behind stoppage of Gilbert Burns.
-Curtis Blaydes for his knockout victory over Jailton Almeida.
-Michel Pereira for his acrobatic win against Michal Oleksiejczuk.
-Robelis Despaigne for his lightning-fast knockout of Josh Parisian.
