Top WWE NXT 2.0 Injured During NXT Live Event

NXT 2.0 recently kicked off the road for the first time. The developmental brand is holding shows around the state of Florida to help acclimate wrestlers on the road and work out in front of crowds outside Orlando.

During a recent show in Largo, Tony D’Angelo suffered what appeared to be a shoulder injury during a match with Cameron Grimes.



However, The nature of the injury is under the lid for the time being. On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer briefly discussed Tony D’Angelo’s status.

“Real quick, so did we talk about D’Angelo? What happened to Tony D’Angelo… I was so busy watching all these shows but I know Tony D’Angelo got hurt tonight in Largo… I don’t know how serious yet, but I’ll try to find out in the morning.”

Tony D'Angelo has emerged as one of the top stars in WWE's new vision of NXT. With a growing number of wrestlers beneath him, Tony leads one of the strongest factions of the brand. If D'Angelo is to miss out on the extended action it will be a huge hit to a lot of plans.
