Mumbai, January 23 - A few days ago, Canadian actor Simu Liu was trending on Twitter because of one of his tweets of 2018. This happened after Twitter started a thread on 18 January, sharing tweets from celebrities who predicted their fame and success before it came true.

Starting the thread, Twitter captioned "if you can dream it, Tweet it" a photo of Megan Thee Stallion superimposed with a tweet the singer posted on 27 May 2014. "I need a team bc I promise rap gone take off for me", Megan wrote over six years before the release of her 2020 album, Good News.

But Megan isn't the only celebrity who predicted a future full of success. Simu Liu, in one of his tweets made in 2018, asked Marvel to talk about the film on "Shang-Chi", for an opportunity to star as the lead character in "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings". And we all know what happened next.

Zendaya predicted she'd be on the cover of Seventeen magazine in 2012. After being patient for four years, the "Spider-Man: No Way Home" star landed a spot on the cover in the October 2016 issue, making her dream and prediction true.

Before Issa Rae stole our hearts with Insecure, she shared her dreams with her Twitter family. "When I grow up, I want to be a more successful version of me", she tweeted on July 5, 2010. Over a decade later, Rae has starred in The Hate U Give, Hair Love, and The Lovebirds; hosted Saturday Night Live; been in seven music videos; and accepted a BET Award and an NAACP Image Award for her role on Insecure.

Hair Love director Matthew A. Cherry wrote in a tweet on 2 June 2012, that "I'm gonna be nominated for an Oscar one day. Already claiming it". Nearly 10 years later, on 15 January 2022, Matthew wrote on Instagram, "Literally unreal. Manifest your dreams! It costs you nothing and you never know, one day it might come true", referring to his 2020 Academy Award for best animated short.

Stay tuned...
