The New Day Wants A Match With The Young Bucks

The New Day consisting of Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods are known for their high-energy performances, charismatic personalities, and entertaining promos. The group debuted in 2014 and quickly became one of the most popular acts in WWE, known for their over-the-top antics, positive energy, and love of all things unicorn-related.





Their popularity has resulted in numerous championships, including several reigns as WWE Tag Team Champions and Kofi Kingston's historic WWE Championship victory at WrestleMania 35. They are also known for their annual participation in WWE's biggest event of the year, WrestleMania, where they've performed in various match types and always bring energy to the show.



Over the years, The New Day has wrestled several great factions in WWE, but there is one on their dream match list that they view it a wish. While speaking with Scott Fishman of TVInsider, Kofi stated that They have Wanted A Match With The Young Bucks For A Long Time.



There are a lot of people. We’ve been wanting to have a match with the Young Bucks for a long time. It’s a special time. We’ll keep Usos as one. I’ll say the Usos for sure. If you’ve seen our tag matches, then I don’t need to explain it. Dolph Ziggler, he and I joke that back in the day we could have a best-of-500 series.





Every match was always fun and incredible. I actually like having matches with Sami Zayn because of the visceral reactions he is able to garner from the crowd. Kevin Owens is actually really good. His skill level is amazing. Our matches are always great. Edge is really good. One of the first for me. When you’re in the ring with him, you just know it’s going to be good because he is an amazing storyteller and competitor," he said.

Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston wore their Power Rangers gear! ## At a WWE live event in Portland, Maine on November 27, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston paid tribute to the late Jason David Frank by putting on their Power Rangers gear. ## As seen below in the photos, Woods put on the White Ranger gear while Kingston had on the Green Ranger get-up. Two of the most decorated tag teams in history collide once again with WWE gold on the line as The New Day take on The Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at WWE Day 1. ## WWE Day 1 goes live on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, streaming live at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT exclusively on Peacock in the U.S. and on WWE Network everywhere else. ## The Usos Vs. The New Day Full Match Recap ## This Jey Uso starting things off against Xavier Woods! ## Woods pitches a wrist lock. While Jimmy with a side headlock. Woods sends into the turnbuckle and tags with Kofi. They land a kick, back senton, followed by a dropkick for the cover, but kick-off. ## Kofi with a double sled to Jey when Jey tries to interfere. Jimmy knocks Kofi off the apron and then Jey clotheslines Kofi. Jimmy with a belly-to-back suplex. ## Jey with a running hip into the corner. Jey goes for another running hip but Kofi instead hits a stomp. Jimmy Usos gets in now. Jimmy Lands a Superkick followed by a Superplex but Kofi sends Jimmy to the mat. Kofi with a tornado DDT, Woods avoids a belly-to-back suplex, and Woods lands on his feet and hits a side Russian leg sweep. ## Woods lands a Michinoku Driver for the cover but kicks out. Woods dropkicks Jey through the ropes when Jey pushes Jimmy out of the way. Woods is sent into the announce table. A Samoan drop from Jimmy. Jimmy gives Woods to Jey for an alley-oop Samoan drop for a near fall. ## Kofi tags in. He connects with a cross body for a near fall. Kofi with a flying clothesline to Jey and then he hits the Boom Drop. Kofi goes for Trouble in Paradise but Jey with a superkick. Jimmy is back, he lands a frog splash for a near fall. ## Meanwhile, there are multiple roll-ups, Kofi with a rollup for a near fall. Kofi with another rollup for another near fall. Kofi with SOS for a near fall. ## Woods comes in. They both connect with a double pendulum kick. Kofi with a backbreaker, while Woods with a double stomp off the turnbuckles for the cover, but kicks out. This time, The Usos team up and hit a double superkick. Jey tags in and they go up top for a double frog splash but Woods crashes in. ## Jey with a superkick to Kofi and then they hit a 3D for the three counts. ## The Usos Vs.
