The Miz Throws Shade At Bryan Danielson Ahead Of New 'WWE Rivals' Episode

The Miz isn't letting old rivalries die down. Ahead of the latest episode of "WWE Rivals" focusing on his feud with AEW's Bryan Danielson, Miz took a playful jab at the former wrestler.

The episode, which aired on March 31st, explores the nearly decade-long rivalry that began in 2009 when a young Danielson was mentored by The Miz on the first season of NXT. While their clashes hold weight throughout the years, one moment stands out.



During a 2016 episode of "Talking Smack," tensions flared after Danielson, then retired, called The Miz a "coward." The Miz unloaded in a memorable promo, famously telling Danielson to "go back to the bingo halls" and wrestle with his "indy friends."

Miz took to Twitter, sharing the episode's trailer and referencing his infamous line. He playfully wrote, "@bryandanielson listened to me after all," suggesting that by going to AEW, Danielson ended up in smaller venues compared to WWE.

Despite Danielson's retirement at the time of the promo, they eventually settled their differences in the ring at SummerSlam 2018.

Since leaving WWE in 2021, Danielson has actively competed across promotions like AEW, NJPW, and most recently, CMLL.
