Thalapathy 68: T-Series Grabs Audio Rights of Thalapathy Vijay's Next With Venkat Prabhu

Chennai, July 17 - Thalapathy Vijay would next be seen in director Lokesh Kanagaraj's gangster drama film "Leo", scheduled to release on October 19 this year in multiple languages. The movie is carrying huge expectations and is projected to break box office records.

Meanwhile, the Tamil superstar has already confirmed that his next movie, called "Thalapathy 68" will be with director Venkat Prabhu and to be produced by AGS Entertainment. Now, according to the latest reports, the makers have already sold the audio rights of the movie even before the shoot commencement.



It is said that leading music company, T-Series has acquired the musical rights of Thalapathy 68. The studio reportedly has paid a whopping 26 crores to grab the rights in a groundbreaking deal. This is believed to be the highest-ever sold audio rights value in the history of Tamil cinema.

Yuvan Shankar Raja will compose the music of T68, reuniting with Thalapathy Vijay for the first time since "Pudhiya Geethai" (2003). The movie also marks the maiden collaboration between Vijay and director Venkat Prabhu while it is the second movie of AGS Entertainment with the actor after the blockbuster "Bigil".

T68 is expected to release on Diwali next year while the shoot will commence later this year.
