Superstar Mohanlal's 'Barroz 3D' and 'Malaikottai Vaaliban' Release Date Locked

Kochi, August 20 - Malayalam superstar Mohanlal finally has confirmed the release date of his long-awaited fantasy "Barroz". The film is directed by Mohanlal who is also playing the main role in the movie that is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.





"Barroz", which is based on Jijo Punnoose's novel Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure, will be hitting worldwide cinemas on December 21, 2023, during the Christmas week. The movie will reportedly be released in over 60 countries.





The story of Barroz revolves around a 400-year-old spirit who is assigned to guard D'Gama's treasure which can be handed over to D'Gama's true descendant. The movie is touted to be a fantasy thriller and the core story is provided by the My Dear Kuttichathan fame Jijo Punnoose.





Meanwhile, another highly-anticipated film of Mohanlal, "Malaikottai Vaaliban" will be released in March 2024. It was earlier anticipated to release on Christmas but now, it has been pushed to March next year, on the occasion of Malayali New Year.





The movie is directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery and produced by Shibu Baby John, Mohanlal, and Lijo Jose Pellissery. "Malaikottai Vaaliban" is a period action drama film that stars Mohanlal in the lead role alongside Sonalee Kulkarni, and Hareesh Peradi, among others.
