Superstar Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran's Much-Awaited 'Lucifer 2: Empuraan' Shoot Details Revealed

Kochi, August 8 - Malayalam superstar Mohanlal reunites with actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran for the sequel to the industry hit "Lucifer" (2019). In Mollywood cinema, no other sequel has generated hype as much as "Lucifer 2" and the makers are planning things accordingly.

Over the last few months, the pre-production work on "L2: Empuraan" has picked the pace as the team is gearing up to commence filming. Now, according to the latest reports in Malayama media, the shoot of "Lucifer 2" will commence in the last week of September this year and it will be shot over a period of 1 year.



It is said that the movie will be shot across different locations in India, including Noida and Ladakh as well as international locations. It is easily the most-awaited Malayalam movie ever, and keeping that in mind, the makers are determined to deliver top-notch quality. It is also revealed that "Lucifer 2" will be the top priority of the team and there are fewer chances that they take up another project in-between.

"Lucifer 2" will be made on a huge scale without looking at the budget. It is believed to be the costliest Malayalam movie ever with some sequences itself expected to have a budget of low-budget film. It will most likely be released in 2025 worldwide in multiple languages.

The dubbed versions of "Lucifer" have attracted huge viewership on television and now, the sequel of it is one of the most-anticipated Malayalam movies in non-Malayalam markets. Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran are very well-known faces across the country and their goodwill will make sure "L2" gets a wide Pan India release.

Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirwad Cinemas, "L2" will have a big supporting cast.
