Ric Flair's Last Match Predictions & Preview: Match Card, Date, Location, Matches

Here is the full match card and every detail you need to know regarding Ric Flair's Last Match which is set to take place on July 31, 2022, at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, airing on FITE, which will feature the final match of Ric Flair's 50-year career.

The event will be produced and promoted by Conrad Thompson under the banner of Jim Crockett Promotions (JCP) as part of the Starrcast V convention, and will also feature wrestlers from Impact Wrestling, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), Major League Wrestling (MLW), and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW).

It was announced in May 2022 that Flair would wrestle one final match at Tennessee State Fairground Sports Arena on July 31, 2022 as part of his son-in-law Conrad Thompson's Starrcast convention. The convention is being held the same weekend as WWE's SummerSlam, which is taking place at nearby Nissan Stadium on July 30.

The Flair card was later moved to the larger Nashville Municipal Auditorium, site of his famed WrestleWar '89: Music City Showdown match with Ricky Steamboat, due to high demand. After rumors claimed that Steamboat would face Flair in a tag team match on the show, Steamboat confirmed that he was offered the match with Flair but turned it down. Matt Cardona proposed defending the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Flair, but he was injured soon after and forced to forfeit his title.

Ric Flair Names Roman Reigns the Flagship of WWE, Praises His Work

Legendary wrestler Ric Flair has nothing but respect for current WWE champion Roman Reigns. In a recent interview on Daily Ticket, Flair showered Reigns with praise, even calling him the "flagship" of the company's men's division.## "Roman is great," Flair said. "He's done a phenomenal job. He's been the flagship since John [Cena] left."## Flair, a 16-time world champion himself, understands the pressure of carrying a company. He acknowledges the importance of the role Reigns has taken on, especially after John Cena's reduced appearances.## The Nature Boy also complimented Reigns' work alongside his daughter, Charlotte Flair. While Charlotte is currently recovering from a knee injury, Flair believes she'll be back stronger than ever and remains the "flagship" of the women's division.## This isn't the first time Flair has spoken highly of Reigns. He previously expressed his desire to have shared the ring with The Tribal Chief, though their careers didn't overlap.## With WrestleMania 40 just around the corner, where Reigns is scheduled to headline both nights, it's clear The Rock isn't the only legend recognizing Roman Reigns' dominance in WWE. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Ric Flair Desperately Wanted To Pull One Last Betrayal On Sting

    BY SACNILK

Sting's emotional retirement at AEW Revolution was nearly overshadowed by a behind-the-scenes maneuver from none other than Ric Flair. While legends like Magnum T.A., Lex Luger, and Nikita Koloff cheered Sting and Darby Allin to victory against The Young Bucks, "The Nature Boy" apparently had other plans.## According to Conrad Thompson on his podcast "What Happened When?", Flair desperately wanted to pull one last betrayal on Sting. Thompson revealed that Flair pressured him to lobby AEW President Tony Khan for a storyline twist where Flair would turn on Sting during the match.## "'Conrad will you go talk to Tony? You're friends with him, just go talk to him' and I'm like 'what are you talking about?'" recalled Thompson, highlighting Flair's attempt to shirk responsibility for the idea. "'Just go and talk to him, try to convince him, me turning on Sting is best for business.' I go 'Ric you work here, you're in the storyline, I think maybe you should tell him.'"## Apparently, Flair had already pitched the idea to Khan but wanted Thompson to act as a buffer. The audacity of the request was amplified by Flair's reported justification: "it's only worked 10 other times." ## Thankfully, for Sting's sake, the plan never came to fruition. Flair did end up getting involved in the match, albeit unintentionally, taking a pair of superkicks from The Young Bucks for his troubles. Instead of a final betrayal, Flair's actions served as a comedic footnote to Sting's legendary career. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Ric Flair: LA Knight Not Roman Reigns Just Yet, But He's On His Way

    BY SACNILK

LA Knight made an unforgettable debut at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day on February 14th, 2021, leaving a lasting impression on the audience. However, his transition to the main roster faced some initial challenges, but things have taken a positive turn as he has now gained huge popularity and favor with the fans. Despite this, the legendary Ric Flair believes that LA Knight still has some way to go before reaching the level of Roman Reigns. ## The former NXT Superstar has managed to win over the fans naturally, primarily because of his exceptional ability to connect with the audience, thanks to his outstanding microphone skills. Each week, his popularity continues to soar as fans can't seem to get enough of this WWE Superstar. Nonetheless, he has yet to attain the level of success that many fans had hoped for. ## In a recent interview with Fox News, WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair discussed LA Knight's progress in WWE thus far. Flair expressed his opinion that while LA Knight has shown growth, he still has some distance to cover before matching the status and success of someone like Roman Reigns. ## “He’s not Roman Reigns yet, but he just started. He’s been around the market, he’s been back and forth, up and down. Sometimes you just got to find the niche, the right opponent and the right moment. That reunion when he cracked on Taker, I think that kinda started a roll for him.” ## LA Knight's SummerSlam Plans Revealed: Segment or Match? Fans have expressed their frustration with WWE's handling of LA Knight, feeling that he deserves a significant push similar to Daniel Bryan's memorable rise. However, the expected push keeps facing delays, leading to disappointment among supporters. Recent reports now suggest that WWE plans to push him after SummerSlam. However, this raises questions about his involvement in the biggest show of the summer. If he is not facing Theory as initially anticipated, will LA Knight still be featured on the SummerSlam card? ## According to WWE insider Boozer 666, a reputable source known for breaking WWE stories in the past, LA Knight is indeed scheduled to be part of SummerSlam. The insider's tweet mentioned that Knight will be involved in a particular segment or angle during the event, which could potentially evolve into a full-fledged match. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.
