Report: Top Two WWE Free Agents Signing With AEW?

The women's wrestling free-agent market is intense, with some globally exposed talent available.

According to Fightful Select, there is significant interest in Toni Storm joining the company, to the point that several talent outright expects her to land with the company sooner than later.



There were numerous wrestlers in the company pushing for her to be brought in. There have at least been light talks and gauging interest between Athena, formerly Ember Moon, and AEW.

Also, there was a "feeling out" process between Ember Moon and All Elite Wrestling, going back to early when she was first released. People in All Elite Wrestling claimed that there didn't seem to be a sense of urgency to lock her down. Per Promoters Athena is very selective of her independent bookings.

During the March 25 episode of AEW Rampage, it was revealed that The Bunny will face off against a new signing for the AEW Women's Division in a qualifying match for the Owen Cup Hart. There is no indication on who this mystery person is but several names are available. Those names include Tony Storm, Athena (Ember Moon), Nixon Newell (Tegan Knox).

Tegan Nox, is another top free agent in the wrestling world. Nixon hasn't wrestled since her WWE release, leaving her out of the ring since October. Per Fightful Report, a couple of weeks ago she'd been kept very busy trying to sort out visa situations, which have been an uphill battle for many wrestlers who suddenly find themselves as wrestling-free agents.
