Prabhas' 'Adipurush' Postponed To June 2023

Mumbai, November 7 - Director Om Raut's magnum opus Adipurush has officially been postponed to June 16, 2023. The Prabhas-fronted epic was supposed to release on January 12, 2023, but after the mixed reception to the teaser, the makers have decided to re-do the VFX in order to give a complete theatrical experience.

It is said that that re-do of VFX shots will cost approx. 100 crores more and this will take some more time. Om Raut took to Twitter and shared a note announcing the new release date. The filmmaker assured that "Adipurush" will be a film that India will be proud of.

"Adipurush" is based on Ramayana in which Prabhas plays the role of Lord Rama along with Kriti Sanon as Sita, Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, and Sunny Singh as Laxman, among others in prominent roles. It is produced by T-Series and Retrophiles.
