Mohanlal's 'Ram' To Clash With Dulquer Salmaan's 'King of Kotha'?

Kochi, January 21 - The Malayalam film industry has had a very good year of 2022 with multiple films succeeding at the box office. 2023 promises to take the industry a notch higher with even bigger projects lined up for the release.

The two of the most-awaited Malayalam movies are Mohanlal's action thriller Ram and Dulquer Salmaan-fronted gangster film King of Kotha. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, "Ram" has been in production since 2020. Mohanlal plays the role of IPS, a RAW officer and undercover agent in the movie.



"King of Kotha", on the other hand, is directed by Abhilash Joshiy and it is one of the most talked about Mollywood films in recent times. The film was announced in 2021 and the shoot commenced in September 2022.

There have been a lot of speculations on the release dates of both the aforementioned films. If all goes as per reported in the media, the Malayalam industry is going to witness a mega box office clash between these two films. It is reported that both movies are set to hit screens on August 24, 2023. However, there is no official confirmation of the release dates yet.

"King of Kotha" is announced to release in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu languages. "Ram", on the other hand, will be released only in Malayalam, as of now.
