Las Vegas - February 16, 2024 - Former WWE announcer Kevin Patrick (real name Kevin Egan) didn't waste any time finding new pastures after his release last month.





Patrick, who took the reins as the lead announcer for Monday Night Raw a few years back, was let go as part of a recent shakeup in the WWE announce team.





Initially, WWE pinned high hopes on Patrick, even partnering him with veteran Michael Cole to mentor him and accelerate his development.





However, plans changed in January when Cole was pulled from SmackDown, leaving Patrick to prove his mettle on the blue brand. Unfortunately, his stint was short-lived, leading to his release.



No rest for the weary, Patrick quickly snagged a lucrative opportunity with Major League Soccer. He'll be taking the helm as the host of "MLS 360" on Apple TV's MLS Season Pass, joining a talented team including Sacha Kljestan, Kaylyn Kyle, and Bradley Wright-Phillips.

Former SmackDown play-by-play announcer Kevin Patrick has reportedly parted ways with WWE, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider. This follows his recent removal from the lead commentator position on the blue brand just last week. ## Patrick's WWE journey began in March 2021, where he donned various hats, including hosting Raw Talk and the "After The Bell" podcast alongside Corey Graves (which concluded at the end of 2023). ## However, his most prominent role came in October 2022 when he stepped up as the lead announcer for Raw. This position shifted in August 2023 as part of a larger talent swap, placing Patrick and Graves on SmackDown alongside Michael Cole.
