'Jannat' Fame Sonal Chauhan Joins The Cast Of Prabhas-Fronted 'Adipurush'

Mumbai, April 11 - Director Om Raut's upcoming magnum opus, "Adipurush", has another actor coming on board to play a key character. The Prabhas-fronted mythological film based on the epic Ramayana, which also stars Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, will feature "Jannat" actress Sonal Chauhan in a prominent role.

Without revealing much about the role she is playing in the film, Sonal Chauhan said (via ETimes), "Yes, I'm a part of Adipurush and I'm excited about it. It's a very different world from the kind of work I've done so far. I am sure the audience will enjoy the magnum opus that is Adipurush".



Even though Sonal made her debut with the Bollywood movie, "Jannat" in 2008, she is very well known to the Telugu audiences as well. She has acted in the hit films like "Legend", "Dictator", "Ruler", and "Pandaga Chesko", among others. Sonal's last film was a Hindi movie, "The Power", which was released in 2021.

"Adipurush" is one of the costliest films ever in Indian cinema. Om Raut recently revealed that he will show Lord Rama's "Prakarma" avtaar in this film. Prabhas is playing Lord Ram, while Kriti essays the character of Sita and Saif Ali Khan is Ravana. It also features Sunny Singh and Vatsal Seth. Meanwhile, Sonal Chauhan is also doing Nagarjuna's "The Ghost".

"Adiprush" will be released in theaters worldwide on January 12, 2023.
