Dhurandhar Box Office (Worldwide): Becomes Highest-Grossing Indian Film In A Single Language
Mumbai, December 30 - Director Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar continues to set new benchmarks for Indian cinema with a lifetime theatrical run. Having already crossed 1000 crores at the worldwide box office, the spy action thriller has now become the highest-grossing Indian title of all-time in a single language.
The Ranveer Singh-starrer is the only non-multilingual Indian film to enter 1000 crores (without China). However, it was Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 and Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, which were the biggest Indian grossers in a single language, having crossed 1050+ crores each in the Hindi version at the worldwide box office, before Dhurandhar surpassed them.
The latest box office phenomenon has become the biggest Indian grosser of all-time in a single language, having already crossed the 1075 crores mark through the 4th Monday. The first of the two-part saga will enter 1100 crores worldwide by today or tomorrow.
Overall, Dhurandhar is currently the 7th biggest Indian grosser when taking all versions. By the next weekend, it will become the biggest Bollywood grosser, by crossing Jawan's 1160 crores worldwide cume in all versions. Aamir Khan's Dangal, however, is currently the biggest Indian grosser with 2070 crores, but more than 1300 crores of its collection came from China, which is not a regular market for Indian films.
