Mumbai, January 29 - Ranveer Singh's spy action thriller Dhurandhar is nearing the end of its historic theatrical run. With a strong lifetime performance at the worldwide box office, the film has emerged as one of the biggest Indian blockbusters ever. Directed by Aditya Dhar, it enjoyed a long and steady run across domestic and overseas markets, driven by solid word of mouth and repeat audience interest.

Dhurandhar has been on a record-breaking run since the second week, and it continued that streak till the 8th week, in which it is expected to score 5.25+ crore net. However, given that the OTT release is around the corner, and target audiences have already it in theatres, it is fair to say that it has wrapped its theatrical journey with a few more crores still may come.

At the Indian box office, Dhurandhar has grossed 1002+ crores (835+ crore net), with lifetime gross expected to be around 1005 crores. It has scripted history at the domestic box office by becoming the first film ever to top a thousand cross-gross in a single language. Morever, it is the second most watched Hindi film and the most watched outright Bollywood film in Hindi in the post pandemic era. The film has shown remarkable consistency during its historic long run, continuing to draw footfalls despite new releases every week.

In the overseas circuit, Dhurandhar has been one of the biggest Indian blockbusters with almost 300 crores gross. As of now, the first part of the two-part saga has scored 1301+ crores gross, heading towards finishing as one of the all-time biggest blockbuster runs at around 1305 crores at the worldwide box office, as the fourth biggest Indian grosser ever.

With this performance, Dhurandhar has shown what a well-made spy actioner with total conviction can achieve at the box office. From a thunderous opening to a remarkably sustained run, the film’s closing numbers underline its status as the biggest Bollywood blockbuster in a long time.
