Dakota Kai Explains Why Damage CTRL Kicked Out Bayley

Former Damage CTRL member Dakota Kai has shed some light on the recent ousting of Bayley from the group. In a new interview, Kai framed Bayley as being overly controlling and hindering their potential.

This comes after a surprising turn of events at the beginning of March. After winning the 2024 Royal Rumble, Bayley opted to challenge for the Women's Title held by IYO SKY, her teammate in Damage CTRL, rather than challenge for the Raw Women's Championship. This decision created tension, and the intrigue grew when Dakota Kai initially appeared to side with Bayley.



However, during a tag team match, Kai delivered a shocking betrayal, attacking Bayley alongside IYO SKY.

Speaking to 97.7 QLZ, Kai defended her actions, comparing Bayley's leadership to a parent who is "a little bit too controlling." Kai believes Damage CTRL can achieve more without Bayley's restrictions.

She also expressed confusion over the fans' support for Bayley, considering Bayley's past "shenanigans."

With WrestleMania just around the corner, Bayley will have a chance for payback against her former teammates. The future of Damage CTRL and Bayley's path remain to be seen.
