CM Punk To Be On Commentary At WrestleMania 40 After Heated Raw Segment

CM Punk's role at WrestleMania 40 was revealed on a dramatic Raw featuring Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins.

Punk addressed the Chicago crowd, then targeted McIntyre. A tense exchange ensued, with Punk trying to lure McIntyre into the ring. Instead, McIntyre perched on the commentary table, suggesting Punk use his "gift of gab" there for his WrestleMania match against Rollins.



Rollins entered the fray, calling both Punk and McIntyre immature. He deferred to a Chicago poll on whether Punk should be a commentator. Though fans chanted for a referee role (rejected by Rollins due to Punk's injured arm), Punk proved he could count with his other arm.

Rollins ultimately said he didn't care about Punk's WrestleMania role. However, Punk himself confirmed he'd be on commentary. He demanded his music as he left the ring.

The drama wasn't over. McIntyre, wanting the last word, entered the ring to confront Punk. But Rollins surprised everyone with a brutal kick to McIntyre's face. The segment ended with Rollins standing tall over a fallen McIntyre, leaving Punk on the ramp as their rivalry continues despite his absence from the ring.
