Box Office: 'Tumbbad' Re-Release 21 Days Collection; Total Crosses 50 Crore Gross Worldwide
Mumbai, October 4 - Folk horror thriller Tumbbad triumphs in its re-release run domestically. It has been a standout performer among all the re-release titles at the Indian box office and has emerged as the biggest repeat gross ever.
Directed by Rahi Anil Barve and produced by Sohum Shah, Tumbbad has completed 3 weeks (21 days) of its repeat run and has scored approximately 29 crores net collection (34.25 crores gross). In its third week, the film minted around 4.50 crores net which is fantastic as it faced competition from Devara apart from the holdover Stree 2.
Earlier, the Tumbbad re-release had scored 13.15 crores net in the first week, followed by 11.40 crores net in the second week. The re-release collection of films topped its lifetime original total of 13.50 crores net in just 8 days before it became the biggest re-release grosser in India by topping Ghill (26 crores gross) at the end of the second week.
In a bigger achievement for the movie, its total collection has now crossed 50 crores gross at the worldwide box office, including 16 crores gross original collection. It has now earned more than 3X of its original release collection which is nothing short of a remarkable achievement.
Day-wise collection of Tumbbad (re-release) is as follows -
1st week - 13.15 crores net approx.
2nd week - 11.40 crores net approx.
3rd week - 4.40 crores net approx.
