Box Office: 'The Greatest of All Time' Becomes The Highest-Grossing Movie In Tamil Nadu

Chennai, September 29 - Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller The Greatest of All Time has slowed down at the box office, but not before emerging as a success and creating an all-time record in the home state, Tamil Nadu.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, The GOAT has become the highest-grossing movie in Tamil Nadu, beating Thalapathy Vijay's Leo which grossed approximately 215+ crores in the state. It has crossed Leo's collection on its 25th day (4th Sunday).



On its 4th Thursday (22nd day), The GOAT outgrossed Ponniyin Selvan - Part 1's 213 crores gross collection in the state. It has been a sensational blockbuster in Tamil Nadu as well as the overseas box office despite the mixed reviews.

The AGS Entertainment production has grossed 448 crores at the worldwide box office, including approximately 292.25 crores in India and 155.75 crores overseas through 4th Saturday (24 days). It will be around 450 crores gross by the end of the day and is looking to finish its run at around 455 crores gross.

The GOAT is the 5th highest-grossing Tamil movie of all time globally, after Robot 2.0, Leo, Jailer, and Ponniyin Selvan - 1, and will finish with the same position. It is the back-to-back movie for Thalapathy Vijay to top 400 crores gross after Leo.
