Box Office: Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani Opening Day/First Friday Early Estimates

Mumbai, July 28 - Karan Johar's directorial return "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" has a decent opening at the box office. The movie started on a decent note in the morning shows but due to super solid word of mouth, it showed a very good jump in the evening and night shows.

The early estimates suggest the opening in the range of 11-12 crores net for this Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt-starrer. The opening of the movie in the mid-10s would have been a very good one considering the budget but that is not the case anymore as it won't reach there.



RRKPK is strong in multiplexes but not that strong in single screens which is expected for this kind of genre. However, it was much for the movie to cross the double-digit mark which it has comfortably done. The opening of 11-12 crores net has given RRKPK a chance to grow over the weekend as word of mouth seems to be very positive.

The movie should show gains on Saturday and Sunday as the 3-day weekend could well be around 40-45 crores net. It all boils down to how well it holds on Monday which will determine its box office fate in the long run.
