Box Office Projection For Priyanka Chopra and Sam Heughan's 'Love Again' Revealed

Los Angeles, April 17 - India's international star Priyanka Chopra Jonas is busy with the promotion for her two upcoming big projects, a romantic romantic-comedy drama Love Again, co-starring Sam Heughan and Amazon Prime Video's web series Citadel.

While "Citadel" premiers on April 28 on Prime Video, the actress will return to the big screen with "Love Again" which is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5. It is an English-language remake of the 2016 German film "SMS für Dich", itself based on a novel by Sofie Cramer.



Directed by James C. Strouse, "Love Again" is projected to take a decent to a good start at the domestic (North American) box office. According to Box Office Pro, the movie is looking to take the $5 million - $10 million in its opening weekend with a lifetime in the range of $12 million - $32 million, depending on response.

"Love Again" is made on an estimated budget of $20 million - $30 million. The higher projection of the film is almost similar to Chopra's last theatrical release (not in the lead role) "The Matrix Resurrections" which took a start of $10.7 million after debuting on 16 December 2021, a week before it was made available on HBO Max on December 22.

It is about a woman, Mira Ray (PC), who is struggling to cope with the death of her fiancé, unintentionally sends a sequence of romantic messages to his old cell phone number, which has been reassigned to Rob Burns' new work phone. As a journalist, Rob is drawn to the candidness in Mira's beautifully written texts. When he is tasked with writing a feature about the famous singer Celine Dion, he seeks her assistance in finding a way to meet Mira in real life and ultimately wins her affection.

The movie will be released by Sony Pictures, also in India on May 5 in English and Hindi languages.
