Box Office: Gadar 2 Third Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, August 27 - The historic run of Gadar 2 continues at the box office as the film yet again creates mass hysteria on the third Sunday. The early estimate suggest 17 crores net collection today which is excellent numbers. This type of appreciation has never been there for any Hindi film and the only film that had this sort of appreciation was Gadar: Ek Prem Katha way back in 2001.

The growth has come mainly in the smaller single screen which is the target audience and these audiences are repeating the film which brings back the memories of blockbusters in the bygone era where the audience used to repeat the film two, three, or even four times. The third weekend collections of Gadar 2 will be around the 37 crores net mark depending on the actual Sunday number which is a huge business.



The third Sunday collections will take the total collections of the film to around 457cr net and with this, the film has emerged as the fastest 450cr film in India beating Pathaan. The huge third-weekend collection has once again given the film a chance to cross the landmark 500cr net mark which looked difficult when the collections dropped on Thursday. There is a big holiday to push the film on Wednesday and in all probability the film will be the third 500cr net grosser in the Hindi format after Bahubali2 and Pathaan.

Gadar2 is an all-time blockbuster film and will also emerge as the most-watched film post-pandemic. Sunny Deol film in a Clash has once again come on the top and has a great track record in clashes. His biggest career hits be it Gadar, Gadar 2 or Ghayal came in a direct clash with major superstars like Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar. In 2001, Sunny Deol went up against Shah Rukh Khan who was at his prime when Indian and Ashoka locked horns at the box office and yet again Sunny Deol starrer came on top thrashing Ashoka.
