Bayley Goes Down With Knee Injury In Live Event, WWE Awaits Test Results
During a WWE live event in Salisbury, MD on Sunday night, Bayley suffered an unfortunate injury in a 4-way match also involving Charlotte Flair, Women's World Champion Asuka, and Bianca Belair.
The incident occurred when Asuka fell down, causing Bayley to seemingly halt her movement to avoid running into her, resulting in her own fall. Interestingly, this was a non-contact injury. Bayley clutched her knee, prompting the referee to signal for medical assistance by raising the "X" sign. Consequently, the match was abruptly concluded, and they swiftly proceeded to the finish.
During a Q&A session, Mike Johnson of Pwinsider mentioned that WWE is awaiting the results of medical tests before making any decisions regarding the appropriate course of action for Bayley's injury.
Johnson wrote, “I was told that they were waiting to get some medical tests back so they could properly diagnose and decide on a course of action. I would hope the fact she walked out of the arena that night under her own power, even limping, is a good sign.”
