Aneet Padda's Shakti Shalini To Be The Most Important Film of MHCU, Amar Kaushik Reveals Reason

Mumbai, November 24 - Aneet Padda has become a sensation after the massive success of her debut film Saiyaara. The actress has been flooded with a lot of offers, and she finally landed Maddock Films' Shakti Shalini, which is the next film in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.

The film was recently announced with Thamma in theatres. While the director for the film is not yet confirmed, Amar Kaushik, the architect behind MHCU, revealed that Shakti Shalini is set to be the most important film of the universe, raising expectations for this upcoming film.

Speaking to Zoom, the Stree director said, "When the horror comedy universe was being created, we already had that idea. But when we were writing it (Shakti Shalini), it occurred to us that this story could be the most important story in the universe, and it was a very unexplored character. You know, you don't know much about anyone."

The filmmaker further revealed that the team was looking for a fresh face to lead the film. He revealed that after seeing her work in Saiyaara, and the kind of struggle she had during many auditions till she got that YRF's biggie, they decided to cast her for Shakti Shalini.

The shoot of Shakti Shalini is expected to begin in January next year, as the film is scheduled to release on December 24, 2026.
