Akshay Kumar's 'Housefull 5' Gets A New Release Date

Mumbai, December 4 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar reunited with filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala for the 5th instalment of the blockbuster comedy film franchise, Housefull. The movie was officially announced in August this year and the makers had locked Diwali 2024 release for the same, but now, there is a change in the release plans.

Housefull 5 will be made on a huge budget of over 350 crores and it will have a lot of VFX. The shoot of the movie is yet to commence and now, the makers have released an official statement stating the postponement of the film to June 6, 2025.



"The Housefull franchise owns its massive success to its audiences, and we hope for a similar reception for Housefull 5. The team has crafted an absolutely mind-blowing story that demands top-notch VFX. Therefore, we've made the decision to push the release to ensure we deliver five times the entertainment with great cinematic experience", the statement read.

"Housefull 5" will be directed by "Dostana" fame Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The movie will also star Ritesh Deshmukh in the lead role alongside Akshay and rumours are there that some of the actors who featured in the previous films of the franchise will also feature in the upcoming movie.

The shoot of the movie is expected to commence later this month or earlier next year and it will release worldwide on 6 June 2025.
