Ajay Devgn Commences The Filming Of Drishyam Sequel In Mumbai

Mumbai, February 17 - Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar in the sequel of the 2015 hit "Drishyam". Ajay along with leading lady Shriya Saran as Nandini Salgaonkar has finally commenced the filming of "Drishyam 2" in Mumbai, under the direction of Abhishek Pathak.

The thriller-drama film, which is the official remake of Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam movie of the same name, "Drisham 2" has kicked off shooting in Mumbai will be extensively shot in Goa in the following months. It also stars Tabu as IGP Meera Deshmukh and Ishita Dutta as Anju Salgaonkar.



Talking about returning with "Drishyam 2", Ajay Devgn shared, "Drishyam was loved and it's a legend. I am now elated to present yet another interesting story with Drishyam 2. Vijay is a multidimensional character and he creates an engaging narrative onscreen. Abhishek Pathak has a fresh vision for this film. I'm keenly looking forward to part 2, filling in the large shoes of the earlier film with people investing in the mystery and the characters".

"Drishyam 2" begins 7 years after the events in the first film and tests Vijay's resolve to protect his family for whom he would cross any limits. Ajay Devgn took to Twitter and shared a behind-the-scene picture with Shriya Saran and director Pathak. "Can Vijay protect his family again? #Drishyam2 shoot begins", Ajay captioned the picture.

The sequel is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak under the banners of T-Series and Panorama Studios in association with Viacom18 Studios. It will be released in the last quarter of 2022.
