AEW Confirms Blood & Guts Match This summer

It's now officially been confirmed that Blood & Guts match for this summer!

AEW President Tony Khan confirmed the news in an interview with Marc Raimondi of ESPN. Khan stated, “Yeah. I’d say to expect Blood & Guts this summer.”



“That I’ll have to get back to you on. I’ve thought about it. It’s a very different wrestling world now than it was during the pandemic. I think it’s a great match, a signature match for us that people really enjoyed.

“But some of the reasons we presented that match were because of the challenges that existed in the world because of the pandemic, as far as presenting sporting events with live fans. That doesn’t really exist in this live-event pandemic.”

The first-ever AEW Blood & Guts match took place on May 5, 2021, at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida. In the main event, The Pinnacle (MJF, Wardlow, Shawn Spears, Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) defeated The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Santana and Ortiz) in a Blood and Guts match.
