Siddharth Anand Aims To Make His Marflix Production's 'Fighter' On Par With Hollywood Films
Mumbai, March 10 - Director Siddharth Anand is on cloud nine with the all-time blockbuster success of Shah Rukh Khan-fronted Pathaan which he calls a game-changer for the Hindi film industry. The spy action thriller is the 5th highest-grossing Indian film of all time with a worldwide gross collection of over 1030 crores. ## Siddharth is now working on India's first aerial action thriller Fighter starring superstar Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. The filmmaker, who also makes his debut as a producer with the upcoming movie, is aiming to build content on par with Hollywood films under his production banner Marflix. ## During a recent interview with Variety, Siddharth said that his intent with "Fighter" is to make it one of its kind of Indian film, which we have seen from Hollywood tentpoles. "My aspiration with Marflix is to build it as a production house that produces content that is at par with Hollywood. That's my intent with 'Fighter' and I'm excited about this", the "War" director said.## Anand believes that the success of "Pathaan" shows the true potential of the Indian film industry and that it can make films consistently to achieve global greatness. "I'm a proud Indian and I think we can make action entertainers that are as big as our Hollywood counterparts".## "I have always believed that the sky is the limit for our industry and we are at the threshold to achieve global greatness consistently. I hope Marflix contributes towards this in the years to come", he added.## Fighter recently wrapped a key schedule in Hyderabad and the next schedule will start soon. Apart from Hrithik and Deepika, the movie also stars Anil Kapoor in a prominent role. It is slated to debut during the Republic Day weekend, January 25, 2024.## Stay tuned...
