Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' and 'Dunki' Non-Theatrical Rights Sold At Record Price
Mumbai, July 5 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's popularity is at an all-time high after his historic comeback with Yash Raj Films' "Pathaan". This Siddharth Anand's directorial grossed more than 1000 crores at the worldwide box office and made SRK only the second Bollywood actor after Aamir Khan to reach the rare box office mark. ## Shah Rukh Khan's next two films "Jawan" and "Dunki" are the most-anticipated Bollywood films and according to the reports, both films are in red hot demand in the trade. According to Pinkvilla, SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment, which has produced both movies, has sold the non-theatrical rights for a record price. ## "It's Shah Rukh Khan v/s Shah Rukh Khan now as the top two non-theatrical deals of all time are under the name of King Khan. While the digital, satellite, and music rights of Jawan are sold for approximately Rs 250 crore, the same for Dunki is around Rs 230 crore", the report states. ## "Jawan", directed by Atlee, will also be released in Tamil and Telugu which is the reason it scored a higher deal in non-theatrical rights while Rajkumar Hirani's "Dunki" is an exclusive Hindi release as of now. "There are some non-theatrical deals which are still getting locked and the eventual total non-theatrical revenue for two films will be close to Rs 500 crore", the website further reports.## As said, the global stardom of SRK, especially after the "Pathaan" euphoria, has resulted in such massive pre-release numbers. "Jawan", which also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in prominent roles, is scheduled to release on September 7 while Hirani's "Dunki" is slated for Christmas weekend this year. ## Stay tuned...
