Box Office: 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' Crossed 'Jersey' To Become Shahid Kapoor's Biggest Worldwide Grosser Post-Pandemic

Mumbai, February 11 - Maddock Films' romantic-comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in the leading roles, is turning out to be a good outing at the box office. ## Directed by debutante Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the impossible love story opened to decent numbers on the opening day, grossing approximately 13.50 crores worldwide, including 8 crores gross (6.70 crores net) in India alone. The film's opening was on the expected lines after sort of advances it scored. ## The movie witnessed a good jump of around 40% on its second for approximately 19 crores worldwide, including around 11.50 crores gross (9.65 crores net) domestically. The total worldwide collection of TBMAUJ stands at 32.50 crores, including 19.50 crores in India in 2 days, making it Shahid Kapoor's biggest grosser post the COVID-19 pandemic. ## Shahid Kapoor's last theatrical release, "Jersey" minted around 31 crores gross in its lifetime run and TBMAUJ has beaten it in just two days. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the movie stars Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, reprising their roles from the first movie released in 2018.## Stree 2 is a part of producer Dinesh Vijan's horror-comedy universe which will see crossover with characters of other films in this universe. Now, according to Bollywood Hungama, Varun Dhawan who played the role of a Bhediya (wolf), has been confirmed to play a cameo in the upcoming movie. ## Bhediya, which was released in 2022, was the third film in the horror-comedy universe and the post-credit scene of the film revealed Stree 2, also giving the first impression about crossovers. Mumbai, February 10 - Last year, it was revealed that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan would be reuniting with director Sooraj Barjatya for a family entertainer. The movie was tentatively titled Prem Ki Shaadi and was supposed to go on floors in the second half of 2024. ## Salman officially confirmed Prem Ki Shaadi and director Sooraj Barjatya also confirmed that he was working on the script, generating so much excitement among the fans. However, the latest reports suggest that Barjatya's film will unlikely happen anytime soon and might be shelved over creative differences. ## According to a report by Mid-Day, "If you see the sort of star that Salman Khan is today and the director's films, the two are poles apart in terms of their creative sensibilities. The script was their common ground, but over time, there were too many things they couldn’t agree on. So, it made sense for them to call it off amicably". ## The duo of Salman and Sooraj has reportedly amicably decided to part ways until they work on something new in the future. Box Office: Fighter Has A Decent Second Week Domestically

Mumbai, February 8 - Hrithik Roshan's Fighter scored a decent second week at the domestic box office with around 40.50+ crores net. The Siddharth Anand's directorial aerial action thriller is heading towards finishing over 200 crores net collection, which at one stage, looked very difficult.## After the good but underwhelming first week of 146.50 crores net, Fighter needed a turnaround to stay afloat and managed to do that with a timely jump over the second weekend in which the movie minted approximately 28.75 crores net.## The movie had another drop on its second Monday which was expected but just like the first week, it didn't drop drastically and stayed steady during the weekdays. The total net collection of Fighter after 15 days is approximately 187.40 crores and it will look to go past the 200 crores mark in the third week. ## At the overseas box office, Fighter is putting up a good show and has grossed an estimated 90 crores so far, for worldwide around 315 crores in two weeks (15 days). Mumbai, February 7 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor has broken a viewership record on Netflix. The action drama film scored the highest viewership for an Indian movie (direct or indirect) on the streamer in the first 10 days. ## Animal, which premiered on Netflix on January 26, has so far scored 39.3 million viewing hours from 11.7 million views in the first 10 days which is the highest ever for an Indian title. Previously, Yami Gautam-starrer Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga (direct release) was the most-watched Indian title on Netflix in the first 10 days with 29 million hours. ## Among the post-theatrical Netflix releases, SS Rajamouli's mega-hit RRR was previously the number-one watched movie at the same time with 25.5 million viewing hours, a number Animal has beaten by a long margin. It scored 20.8 million viewing hours in the opening weekend, followed by 18.5 million in the second week (January 29 - February 4). ## Animal is trending in the top 10 list in 17 countries, including number-one in India, Sri Lanka, UAE, Maldives, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Mauritius. Sunny Deol's Gadar 3 To Be Set Immediately After The Events of Gadar 2: Report

Mumbai, February 6 - It was recently reported that Zee Studios greenlit Gadar 3, following the historic blockbuster success of its predecessor. Sunny Deol will be returning to play the lead role of Tara Singh along with director Anil Sharma. ## Gadar 2: The Katha Continues, which grossed close to 700 crores worldwide, was set 20 years after the events of the first film which was released in 2001. However, the third instalment won't have a huge time gap, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama. ## It is said that Gadar 3 will be set immediately after the events of the second film or it'll be set a few years after the incidents in the sequel, but there won't be a huge jump in the timeline. The makers reportedly believe that it wouldn't look logical to keep another 20 year of gap considering Sunny's age. ## The report further revealed that the makers had 4 ideas to take Gadar's story forward and they finally locked one for which the script work is on. Box Office: Fighter Tops 300 Crore Gross Worldwide

Mumbai, February 6 - Director Siddharth Anand's aerial action thriller Fighter has topped 300 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office, becoming the first Indian movie of 2024 to achieve the feat. ## Starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles, the movie crossed the triple century box office mark on its 12th day as the total collection now stands at around 300+ crores gross, including 214+ crores gross at the domestic box office and around 86 crores overseas business.## Fighter has become the fourth 300 crores worldwide grosser for both Hrithik and Sid Anand while 7th for Deepika Padukone. Ranbir Kapoor's 'Ramayana' Shooting Details Revealed

Mumbai, February 4 - The countdown begins for the shoot commencement of Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor-led epic Ramayana, potentially the biggest Indian film in the making. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the three-part film features Kapoor in the role of Lord Ram alongside Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Raavan, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman, among others. ## The pre-production work on Ramayana has been going on for a long time and now, the makers are set to take the movie on floors in March this year. Mumbai, February 3 - After the harsh first Monday crash, Hrithik Roshan's Fighter has shown a much better hold since then and now, it has started the second weekend on a good note.## The Siddharth Anand's directorial had a good opening weekend with 118.50 crores net collection over 4 days, however, the harsh drop of over 70% for approximately 8 crores net on its first Monday raised the eyebrows of the trade which felt the movie won't survive from there on. ## After that Monday crash, Fighter needed to steady the ship as another fall would have been the end of its journey at the box office but with positive word of mouth, especially in metro cities, making sure the film didn't drop further beyond the regular dip. ## Over the next three days (Tuesday - Thursday), the film held better with a regular drop of around 10% to score 146.50 crores net in the extended first 8-day week. The duo is now set to reunite and the fans are excited about this long-awaited collaboration. ## It was revealed in 2022 that Priyadarshan is working on a script to reunite with Akshay and now, the filmmaker has shared some major updates regarding the same. Contrary to the rumours, the film is not a sequel or remake though it is a horror comedy, different from Bhool Bhulaiyaa. ## "My film with Akshay is not a remake. It is an original idea. Box Office: Fighter Emerges Hrithik Roshan's 3rd Biggest First Week Grosser

Mumbai, February 1 - Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and director Siddharth Anand's Fighter has a decent opening week at the domestic box office. The movie did well in urban centres, however, it failed to repeat the same in mass areas despite positive reviews and word of mouth. ## Also starring Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, Fighter scored approximately 140.75 crores net collection in the first week (7 days). The movie was a Thursday release and it scored 118.50 crores net during the Republic Day weekend which was good. ## Fighter had a big drop of over 70% on Monday which raised doubts over the film's longevity at the box office, however, after that heavy drop, the movie is showing a better trend as it didn't drop drastically after that. Though the movie may struggle to score a big jump in the second weekend it is still in the race to top 200 crores net. ## The collection of 140.50 crores net makes Fighter the third biggest first-week grosser for a Hrithik Roshan-starrer after War and Krrish 3 (first 7 days). ## 1. Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan's 'The King' Reportedly Put On Hold

Mumbai, January 31 - Last year, it was reported that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will be teaming up with his daughter Suhana Khan to headline director Sujoy Ghosh's directorial. The movie was reportedly titled The King and was supposed to go on floors early this year. ## Suhana Khan recently made her acting debut with director Zoya Akhtar's "The Archies" which was directly released on Netflix. The film failed to provide a memorable launch pad for Suhana, and it looks like she will have to wait a bit longer to taste the success. ## According to the latest reports, SRK has put "The King", in which he was supposed to play an extended role, on hold as it is said that he isn't keen on his daughter being subjected to unfair comparisons to the superstar, especially after "The Archies". SRK himself is looking to play larger-than-life roles after the king of success he has had in the last year in the form of "Pathaan", "Jawan", and "Dunki". ## "I don’t think that project is happening, not after The Archies. Suhana needs to find a project as far removed from her father as possible. Earlier, SRK was tempted to get on camera with his daughter ASAP. Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' Score Record Viewership On Netflix In The Opening Weekend

Mumbai, January 31 - After the glorious box office journey, Ranbir Kapoor-led Animal is proving to be a jackpot for Netflix with record viewership. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the action drama film was put on streaming on January 26, eight weeks after the theatrical release in all versions. ## Animal, a topic of discussion on social media over its sensitive subject, scored a massive 20.8 million viewing hours from 6.2 million views in the first 3 days. It is easily the most-viewed post-theatrical release on Netflix in the opening weekend and it could become the most-viewed Indian film for the streamer. ## The movie has comfortably beaten the viewership of the recently released Pan India movie Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, which has scored 10.30 million viewing hours from 3.5 million views in the first 10 days. Interestingly, Salaar was made available only after 4 weeks of theatrical run in South Indian languages. 'Sam Bahadur' Final Worldwide Box Office Collection and Records

Mumbai, January 28 - Actor Vicky Kaushal was one of the few actors who succeeded at the box office in 2023. The actor hasn't had much success since Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019) until last year in which two of his three theatrical releases emerged as box-office hits and he also played a vital cameo in Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki. ## One of the successful films of the actor was biographical drama Sam Bahadur. The Meghna Gulzar's directorial film was released on December 1, 2023, in a direct clash with mega blockbuster Animal. Despite the juggernaut of Ranbir Kapoor-starrer, Sam Bahadur managed to get the love of its target audience. ## Produced by RSVP Movies, Sam Bahadur opened to a decent collection of 6.25 crores net and with positive word of mouth, the film managed to clock around 25.50 crores net in the first weekend and approximately 39 crores net in the full week. The movie showed a good hold in the second weekend earning around 26 crores net, followed by another good hold in the third week for 17.35 crores net. ## Sam Bahadur, after the arrival of Dunki and Salaar, found things tough but still kept pushing due to the positive word-of-mouth as it scored around 12 crores net in the next 5 weeks. Box Office: Fighter Third Day/First Saturday Early Estimates

Mumbai, January 27 - Hrithik Roshan's Fighter, after the big jump of around 75% on Republic Day, shows a very good hold in the collection on Saturday/third day. The movie did well to beat the opening day numbers and beat them comfortably. ## The film needed to score above the first-day collection and try to reach around thirty crores net which it has done as early estimates suggest the third-day collection in the range of 28 crores net (final collection may vary on either side depending on single screens). The movie has a jump of around 25% over the first day. ## The total collection of the movie is around 90 crores net in three days and it is set to enter 100 crores net club by tomorrow, on Sunday (4th day). The 4-day weekend is expected to be around 125 crores net which is a very good collection after the underwhelming start. ## Fighter is best performing in urban areas while mass centers are also showing improvement due to positive word of mouth.
