As we know, Nurmagomedov faced Gaethje in an alliance bout on 24 October 2020 in the main event at UFC 254.## Khabib Nurmagomedov won the fight via technical submission with a triangle choke in the second round to defend and re-unify the UFC Lightweight Championship. Later, In his post-fight interview, Nurmagomedov announced his retirement from mixed martial arts.## He explained that he had promised his mother that he would not continue to fight without his late father, "No way I’m going to come here without my father. It was the first time after what happened with my father when UFC called me about Justin, I talk with my mother three days."## "She doesn’t want me to go fight without my father but I promised her it was going to be my last fight. If I give my word, I have to follow this. It was my last fight here."## With 29 wins and no losses, he retired with an undefeated record. Shortly after retirement, he earned the #1 spot on the UFC men's pound-for-pound rankings. As of 26 October 2020, Fight Matrix ranks him as the #1 lightweight of all time.## While the former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has some problems with the affection being bestowed to Khabib Nurmagomedov over his victory against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254.## However, Jon Jones congratulated Nurmagomedov following the announcement that he was retiring from the sports but took a shot on Khabib on moving to No. 1 on the Pound-For-Pound rankings.## As we know, Jones has maintained that No. 1 position for the plenty since the UFC first started those rankings in 2013.## Jon Jones took to his Twitter and wrote, “This is number one bullsh*t."## Meanwhile, holds many UFC records in the light heavyweight division, including the most title defenses, most wins, longest win streak, and most submission victories. Actor Mahesh Thakur is all set to play the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the second season of the web series, 'Modi: CM to PM' which will stream on Eros Now from November 12. ## Directed by Umesh Shukla, the series traces Modi's journey from his teenage days onto his youth and then serving three consecutive terms as Chief Minister of Gujarat to finally becoming one of the most loved Prime Ministers of India.## "Ever since childhood, we have often heard about the marvelous journey of our PM Narendra Modi and it's a story that has marked a prestigious place in the history of our nation. Playing such a prestigious character is honestly an honor, but comes with great responsibilities. I am excited and looking forward to the viewer's response. RCB team has been wearing a tribute jersey with the message "My Covid Heroes" both during training and matches for the entire tournament through #MyCovidHeroes initiatives. ## Bigg Boss 13 fame, Shehnaz Kaur Gill is one of the many people who are supporting the initiative. UFC on ABC: Holloway vs. Kattar (also known as UFC on ABC 1 and UFC Fight Island 7) is slated to take place on January 16, 2021, at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.## The main card will mark the first time a UFC event will be broadcast on ABC. It also means the first return to network television since UFC on Fox: Lee vs. Iaquinta 2 was broadcast on Fox in December 2018.## A featherweight bout between former UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway and Calvin Kattar is expected to serve as the event headliner.## A bantamweight bout between Ricky Simon and Brian Kelleher was initially scheduled to take place at UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Sakai, but Simon's cornerman tested positive for COVID-19 and he was forced to withdraw from the event.## The pairing was then rescheduled for this event. In turn, Kelleher also tested positive on January 1 and was pulled from the bout. UFC on ESPN: Hermansson vs. Vettori (also known as UFC on ESPN 19 and UFC Vegas 16) is scheduled to take place on December 5, 2020, at the UFC APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.## The main card starts at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT and the prelims at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT.## UFC was targeting a middleweight bout between former UFC Welterweight Championship challenger Darren Till and Jack Hermansson to serve as the event headliner. However on November 6, it was revealed that Till was forced to withdraw from the planned bout due to an undisclosed injury.## He was replaced by Kevin Holland. In turn, Holland was removed from the contest on November 28 after testing positive for COVID-19. Marvin Vettori is now expected to step in as a replacement to fight Hermansson.## John Allan Arte and Roman Dolidze were originally scheduled to meet at UFC 255 in a light heavyweight bout. They were eventually rescheduled for this event.## A bantamweight bout between Cody Stamann and Merab Dvalishvili was expected to take place at this event. UFC Fight Night Smith vs. Clark is set to take place on November 28, 2020, at the UFC APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.## A heavyweight bout between Curtis Blaydes and former UFC Heavyweight Championship challenger Derrick Lewis was expected to serve as the event headliner. A day before the event, the bout was canceled as Blaydes tested positive for COVID-19.## Shamil Gamzatov was briefly linked to a fight with Devin Clark at the event. It has been a forgettable season of the Indian Premier League for one of the most successful franchises and three-times champions, Chennai Super Kings who, for the first time have failed to qualify for the playoffs in their 11 years of IPL history. ## A lot of questions have been raised over the team's future and even on Dhoni – whose own performance has been below par as per his own standards in UAE. However, despite the poor performance of the team and MS Dhoni, the faith of the franchise in the captain cool continues to rise. ## CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said that one bad season does not make this team look bad. He also hopes that Dhoni will continue to lead CSK in 2021 as well. ## "Yes, definitely. I am very confident that Dhoni will lead CSK in 2021. He has won three titles for us in the IPL. This is the first year we have not qualified for the playoffs. No other team has done that. One bad year does not mean we will have to change everything", Viswanathan told The Times of India.## Ahead of the tournament, two of their key players, Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh pulled out of the 13th edition due to personal reasons and CSK CEO believes that the withdrawals of these two players have upset the balance of the team. ## "We didn't play to our potential this season. We lost games that we should have won. That pushed us back.
