Box Office: Bhool Bhuliayaa 2 Second Friday Early Estimates; Great Hold Despite The Competition

Mumbai, May 27 - Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has shown excellent hold on the second Friday as the film has collected 6.50 crores net box office collections, as per the early estimates. The hold of the film is terrific despite the competition. The second Friday collections will take the entire box office collections of Bhool Bhulaiya 2 to over 98cr net box office mark. The film will cross the 100cr mark Tomorrow and become only the second film of Kartik Aaryan's career to cross the coveted 100 cr net box office mark. Bhool Bhulaiya 2 will see growth on Saturday and may hit the double-digit numbers as the films released today could not prove to be competition for Bhool Bhulaiya 2. Few mass circuits have seen a drop on the second Friday but they will be back on the Saturday and Sunday and will record impressive numbers once again. The performance of the film in all the circuits is fantastic with the Mumbai circuit leading the way followed by Delhi/UP. The only underperforming circuits are from the South but those circuits did not matter much for core Hindi films as the collections from these circuits are pretty low. Yash Raj Films Changes The Title of Akshay Kumar's Prithviraj To Samrat Prithviraj

Mumbai, May 27 - Yash Raj Films has agreed to change the title of Akshay Kumar-fronted magnum opus, Prithviraj to Samrat Prithviraj. The decision of changing the title is taken after Karni Sena objected to it and decided to not let the movie screen. ## The producers have reportedly written a letter to the national president, youth president, and the Maharashtra president of the Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena on Friday to convey their decision that the film has now been titled Samrat Prithviraj.## It is reported that Karni Sena has no objection to the story of the film and had reportedly given a green signal after watching it. However, they asked Yash Raj Films to change the title of Prithviraj and add 'Samrat' to it, to which YRF has agreed. ## Written and directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Samrat Prithviraj is based on Prithviraj Raso, a Braj language epic poem about the life of Prithviraj Chauhan, a Rajput king from the Chahamana dynasty. Akshay plays the title role while Manushi Chhillar makes her Hindi film debut playing the role of Sanyogita. Israeli Director Rotem Shamir On-board To Helm Afghan Rescue Film 'Garud'

Mumbai, May 27 - Israeli director Rotem Shamir is all set to make his Indian debut with the upcoming Hindi Bollywood film on the Afghan rescue crisis, Garud. Shamir is best known for his hit series Fauda and Hostages. ## Inspired by real events, Garud presents a fictionalized depiction of the rescue mission in Afghanistan, based on the story of an officer in the Garud Commando Force, a special forces unit of the Indian Air Force. Ajay Kapoor, who jointly bankrolled John Abraham's Attack: Part 1, will be producing "Garud" with Subhash Kale. ## Shamir said in a statement, "Garud is a very exciting film, while it is focused on the Indian aspect of the story, it has a universal appeal that promises to connect with people all across. Box Office: Bollywood's Highest First Week Scorers Of 2022, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Second, The Kashmir Files Tops

Mumbai, May 27 - Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has scored the second biggest first week of 2022 for a Bollywood movie as the film collected 92.05 crores net box office collections in the first seven days of its release. The first week's collections of Bhool Bhulaiya 2 is the second to the all-time blockbuster The Kashmir Files in 2022 which collected Rs. 97.30cr net box office collections in the first seven days. Alia Bhatt fronted Gangubai Kathiawadi directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali scored 68.93 cr net box office collections in the first seven days to claim the third spot in the list. These three are the only films that collected very well in their first weeks. Though 100cr first week collections are not huge collections in today's time as event films are going above 200cr and the all India blockbuster KGF Chapter 2 has collected 268.63cr net box office collections in its first week in the dubbed Hindi version but for a mid-sized film, 100cr first week is a huge number and all three films from The Kashmir Files to Bhool Bhulaiya 2 to Gangubai Kathiawadi are mid-sized films with The Kashmir Files being the smallest of the lot in terms of production cost and star cast. Producers Hint At The Sequel To Shahid Kapoor's All-Time Blockbuster 'Kabir Singh'

Mumbai, May 26 - Producers Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani are looking to explore more of the character of Kabir Singh, played by Shahid Kapoor. The producers are currently enjoying the success of Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani-fronted Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which has given much-needed relief to the Hindi film industry. ## Kabir Singh, which is the official remake of 2017's Telugu movie, Arjun Reddy, was a massive box office blockbuster upon its release in June 2019. It grossed over 370 crores worldwide and became an all-time blockbuster. Despite taking fewer days as compared to his contemporary, Akshay remains the most versatile actor who has performed every character with perfection.## Akshay is now gearing up for the release of magnum opus "Prithviraj", which he shot his portion in just 42 days.
